Notices The North Fort Myers Rec Center Staff wishes you and your family Health and Happiness this Holiday season! Building Closure - Annual Maintenance The North Fort Myers Recreation Center will be closed from Saturday, December 23, 2017 - Sunday, January 7, 2018 Existing Weight Room members will have 16 days added to their membership. Normal operations resume at 7 am on Monday, January 8, 2018. Borrowing Equipment Starting December 1 st, 2017, anyone borrowing equipment from the front desk must use their membership card. We no longer accept collateral such as keys, phones, or membership cards that are attached to personal belongings. All equipment is labeled with a number. You must return the specific piece of equipment you borrow! Please be advised; when using a check to pay for programs, classes and meetings, Lee County Parks & Recreation requires a drivers license be provided along with the form of payment. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this new policy. 3

General Information Lifetime Membership All Lee County recreation centers are open to the public. The center amenities include: a fully equipped gymnasium with basketball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball courts; a weight room with locker room facilities; a game room and several large multi-purpose rooms for meetings and classes. Lifetime membership rates are $10 for individuals and $25 for a family. All members are issued a membership card to be presented at the main entrance to access the recreation center amenities. All members may enjoy the gymnasium and game room during available hours. Registration fees may apply to participate in some classes and programs. Membership is valid at all Lee County recreation center locations: Estero Park & Recreation Center, Veterans Park & Recreation Center, and Wa-Ke Hatchee Park & Recreation Center. Weight Room The weight room is open during regular building hours. Weight room membership is honored in all Lee County Parks & Recreation weight room facilities. Members who are ages 14 & 15 may utilize the weight room if accompanied by a parent or guardian who also has a weight room membership. One month for $20, Six months for $80, and a full year for $120. Prices are per person. Pet Donation Drop Off Donations for Lee County Domestic Animal Services are accepted in the blue bin in the front lobby of the North Fort Myers Recreation Center. All pet supplies including wet or dry dog foods, toys, blankets, towels, Kleenex, trash bags, cat carriers, cat litter, bleach, cleaning supplies, dawn dish detergent, and other pet supplies are accepted. Program Changes SHARE Club - Lee County Parks & Recreation will host many of the social activities and fitness classes. Lee Health, in partnership with SHARE Club and Healthy Life Center, will continue to bring a variety of health and wellness lectures to the North Fort Myers and Wa-Ke Hatchee locations. 4

It is played by four players in two competing partnerships, with partners sitting opposite each other around a table. Euchre Tuesday & Friday 12-2 pm No Class: December 26 & 29 A trick-taking card game most commonly played with four people in two partnerships with a deck of 24, 28, or sometimes 32, standard playing cards. Hand & Foot Wednesday 11:30 am - 2:30 pm Friday 2:30-4:30 pm No Class: December 27 & 29 A card game played between two-to-six players in which one deck is needed per player. Use one deck more than the number of players, so for a four-handed game you'd use five 52-card decks plus ten jokers (270 cards). Each player is dealt two separate thirteen-card hands. The first is called the "hand", and the second is called the "foot". Double Pinochle Thursday 11:30 am - 3 pm No Class: December 28 Double-Deck Pinochle requires at least four players in teams of two. You use a deck of 80 cards, made up of 4 cards of each rank in every suit in the following order: A, 10, K, Q, and J. You can make this deck by combining two Pinochle decks and removing all the nines. This game involves bidding, drawing, trick-taking, and melding. 8

Club Rec is an Open Access Program (grades 2-8) that provides an opportunity for children to choose their activities. We encourage them to learn, get involved in physical activity and explore their creativity. The Club Rec program is open on Lee County School days that are non county holidays. A recreation center membership is required to participate in this program. Fun Days #634650 $15/day Children ages 6-13 can spend teacher in-service days having fun with friends. Hours are 7:30 am- 6 pm Please bring a bagged lunch, snacks, and a water bottle. Please wear appropriate foot wear that will allow you to run and play. There are (4) four baseball fields, (2) two football fields and one practice field. Also available to the public are (24) twenty-four shuffleboard courts (separate membership required), playground, pavilion and a disc golf course. The annual Lee County Parks & Recreation Parking Sticker offers 12 months of parking at most regional parks, beaches and boat ramps in Lee County. Annual Parking Sticker Cost is $60 Parking stickers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue. Lost, stolen or mutilated parking stickers shall be replaced for a $5 fee. Parking stickers must be permanently affixed to the left rear bumper of your vehicle or the bottom left corner of rear window for validation. No exceptions for rental vehicles. Failure to properly display your parking sticker in a visible manner on the left rear bumper or window of the vehicle it is registered to may result in a citation and parking fine. Each permitted vehicle must have its own sticker. Stickers are non-transferable.
