WALLYISLAND Designed for a new era, the 53m trawler yacht already earned her future fame in the world of superyachts. Launched in May, she is one of the most representative yachts of her time. The steel hull and aluminium superstructure construction has a remarkable design and styling. Following the success of the 42.50m Cameleon B and the 39.50m II, Proteksan-Turquoise was proud to announce the successful launch of. With a highly stylish and detailed exterior design and lines, and having an unusual spacious interior for a yacht of her size, the trawler yacht is created by Paolo Caliari for the concept, Proteskan-Turquoise for the naval architecture and J.G Verges Design for the interior design & decoration. Essential Characteristics Starting at the hull lines, it is immediately visible that s design is adapted to her world class standard, giving her efficiency, seaworthiness and safety while cruising in rough seas due to her well flared high bow. Deck spaces are generous for outside entertainment and the bathing platform aft of the transom is fully integrated and well finished with teak decking details. The hydraulic transom door opens the large lazarette where the main tender is stored. The tender can be lifted by the concealed passa-crane, that functions as a crane for tender, gangway and swim ladder with self-levelling stairs. When it is used as a swim ladder, it allows entering the sea as if going down a beach. One of her essential characteristics is the asymmetrical main deck design, which may be noticed at first sight. Extra volume for a large and comfortable lounge is achieved by only having a side deck only on port side. Thanks to her well-designed layout, she has 30% more volume, compared to other yachts of similar length available on the market. > SuperYacht Industry Volume 3 No. 6 83

Spacious The full beam VIP suite has a lounge area and a walk-in wardrobe as well as large en suite facilities with a Jacuzzi and separate shower. The lower deck has four additional guest staterooms compromising of three doubles and one twin all with en suite facilities. The large spaces are divided with great rationality. The crew quarter located forward of the guest area is strictly separated, but converges at strategic points of the vessel. The crew quarters are large and well appointed with a private dining area and service galley as well as an entertainment centre. It consists of five double cabins with private heads. A hidden door gives access from the crew quarters to the guest area for service purposes. The deck below the crew quarter houses the laundry as well as storage space and the technical room. Different Approach The aft main deck reflects the completely different approach s builders took, by being unusually oversized with its large infinity pool/spa with glass waterfall wall and flanked with a pair of large stairways with led type night-lighting steps. The lights lead to the bathing platform that becomes a giant terrace and boarding deck nearby the sea, while the transom door also gives access to the huge garage, housing all necessary toys and diving equipment. The aft main deck also offers a large lounge area fitted with a comfortable Special Solution Lift Emotion BV, the Dutch manufacturer for special marine elevators for yachts and superyachts, has successfully commissioned the marine elevator on. After a short engineering time and the flexible help of the yard, Lift Emotion succeeded to deliver the elevator within 3.5 months after contract date. The elevator is engineered to work within the limited space of the steel and aluminium trunk of the yacht. With the use of glass car and trunk doors the elevator trunk is also visible from the outside and will also be used for displaying painted art. Because of the class requirements, a Solas A0 classed door was needed at the lower deck. This A0 classed door is not meant to be used for elevators, but for this purpose Lift Emotion BV engineered a special solution using the needed certificated elevator door locks. The four person elevator with a capacity of 300 kg has a stainless steel finish. Lift emotion BV included a 25 mm recess in the floor for the special finished floor. outdoor sitting area covered by the upper deck, creating a welcoming place for visitors or relaxation in the evening. It opens through automatically operated sliding doors giving way to the main salon with its area of 100 m 2. a real feeling of floating above water. A sliding door leads to the main lobby where the day head is located. A sliding door to port gives access to the pantry, connected to the main galley, while the elevator and main staircase connects all levels. The main galley is fully equipped with professional stainless steel appliances, oversized food storages and large cold room sets. Wall cabinets provide ample additional storage. A set of three windows brings natural light to this galley giving it an open and airy feeling. Still on portside, a private entrance forward leads to the lower crew quarters, while an external stairway gives direct access to all the upper decks. Forward of the main lobby, the wide body space is reserved for the owner s suite. A private lounge and study room on portside lead to the oversized walk-in wardrobes, which provide ample room for long range cruising. One unique feature of the owner s quarters is the private forward deck. The master suite area is full beam with floor to ceiling windows that enhance the feeling of open space by bringing in plenty of natural light. A panoramic view is ensured in the owner s bath thanks to the large windows. The master suite opens to a forward deck terrace. An airplane type electro-hydraulic automatic stair opening from the bonnet, allows to go up from this terrace to above decks front part. The upper deck can be reached either with the Impressive Fleet Proteksan-Turquoise Yachts Inc. is a joint venture between the two leaders of the Turkish boatbuilding industry Proteksan Yachts Inc. and Turquoise Yacht Construction.
