Royal Wedding Tour Mandarin Oriental Hotel, London Day 1 Tuesday 26 th April Individual arrivals at The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, London. With the tranquility of Hyde Park on one side and the sophistication of Knightsbridge on the other, the historic five-star Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park boasts London's most perfect location. Having started life as a private Gentleman's Club in 1889, it was transformed in to London's newest and grandest hotel in 1908 and became home to many distinguished guests. Members of the Royal Family have always been frequent visitors here and even the Queen learned to dance within the glorious Ballroom. This magnificent hotel also boasts the only private Royal Entrance on to the park, being the favourite hotel of The Queen Mother. Winston Churchill also lived here during the war. Having completed a 50 million restoration, the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park allows guests to be surrounded by luxury, whilst experiencing service and facilities that surpass even the highest of expectations. All day - Special VIP Hospitality suite will be available. Evening - Pre dinner drinks will be held in a private room of the hotel. Welcome dinner at the hotel Night 1 of 6 and Full English breakfast at the hotel. Day 2 Wednesday 27 th April Depart hotel for Chartwell since 1924 the family home of Sir Winston Churchill. We shall have a special greeting and talk from a member of the Churchill family. Page 1 of 6

Chartwell is a delightful family home with stunning views over the Weald of Kent. It was the place from which Sir Winston drew inspiration. The rooms and gardens remain much as they were when he lived there. The pictures, books, maps and personal mementoes strongly evoke the career, wide ranging interests and presence of this great statesman. The beautiful terraced gardens contain the lakes Sir Winston created and they include the water garden where he fed his fish. There is also Lady Churchill s rose garden and the Golden Rose Walk so called because it was a Golden Wedding anniversary gift from their children. Many of Sir Winston s paintings can be seen in the garden studio. Lunch will be at the nearby private family home of The Churchill family. Return to London by 4.00pm Evening - Depart the hotel for Spencer House, the ancestral London residence of the family of Diana, Princess of Wales. Built in 1756 for the first Earl Spencer, this is London's finest surviving 18th century private house. Drinks will be on the Terrace overlooking Green Park followed by a special tour of the house. Dinner will be served in The Great Room, designed by James Athenian Stuart. Return to the hotel Night 2 of 6 and Full English breakfast at the hotel. Day 3 Thursday 28 th April Morning visit to The British Museum with a leading Academic to see the eagerly awaited special exhibition of gold; Afghanistan: Crossroads of the Ancient World. Page 2 of 6

A handful of brave officials from the National Museum of Afghanistan in Kabul siphoned away the rare artefacts for safekeeping before their building was destroyed in 1979 during the Soviet invasion. They hid most of the items, which span the past two centuries, in secret vaults beneath the presidential palace to protect them from the Taliban and looters. The star attraction is a solid gold flat pack crown, described as one of the world s most beautiful and priceless objects. Lunch at The Wallace Collection Special visit to the Wallace Collection with the Director. This is the collection of the fourth Marquis of Hertford and his illegitimate heir, Sir Richard Wallace, whose widow bequeathed the entire collection to the nation. The collection is housed in Manchester Square, a short distance from the Ritz, in the former Town House of the Marquis. It is London's major display of 18th century French painting. It also boasts a priceless assembly of sculpture, porcelain, and exquisite furniture. Evening Depart the hotel for a special dinner and private tour of Kensington Palace. Queen Victoria was born here, and many members of the Royal family still live here. Princess Diana lived at Kensington Palace until her death. The evening will begin with drinks in the sunken garden. A leading figure will give a specialist tour of this most royal of palaces. Dinner in the newly restored Kings Gallery. 10.30 pm departure, to arrive back at the hotel by 11.00 pm. Night 3 of 6 and Full English breakfast at the hotel. Page 3 of 6

Day 4 Friday 29 th April THE ROYAL WEDDING DAY We have ring side seats for the event of the century. Watch the Royal procession to and from Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey from The Institute of Contemporary Art (right) overlooking the Mall. Built by King George IV in the 1820s, these splendid stucco residences were designed to create a magnificent processional way leading to the Palace. Depart the hotel by luxury air conditioned coach. Morning coffee will be served upon arrival. Guests will have unparalleled views of the wedding parade, and all the pomp and circumstance of the day; nestled just above the public crowds and hustle of the streets below. A screen will also be provided to see close ups transmitted on television. There will be drinks served out on the terrace. We will toast the happy couple with a glass of champagne before a sumptuous 3 course lunch, served in the Gallery. Return to the hotel for the rest of the afternoon. Dinner this evening will take place at the home of a member of the royal family, at their private London townhouse Night 4 of 6 and Full English breakfast at the hotel. Day 5 Saturday 30 th April Special visit to Westminster Abbey. Here we can see the setting of the wedding, with all the flowers still adorning this historic building. Page 4 of 6

The abbey was built in 1065 by Edward the Confessor. It is the senior church in London and is a Royal Peculiar! It is where the coronations take place, and most of the royal weddings. It is also the burial place of the great and the good. Poet s corner is well known to most people; perhaps lesser known is the burial place of musicians and scientists such as Newton and Darwin. Return to the hotel for rest of the day and evening at leisure. Night 5 of 6 and Full English breakfast at the hotel. Day 6 - Sunday 1 st May Private visit to Althorp 09.00 am - Departure from the hotel Private visit and lunch at Althorp: hosted by a direct member of the family. Althorp has been the ancestral home of Diana, Princess of Wales family since 1508. The park became the focal point of the world's attention on 6th September 1997, when Diana, Princess of Wales was laid to rest there, after her tragically early death. She now lies on the island in the Round Oval, an ornamental lake, surrounded by her family's ancestral heritage. Lunch will be served in a State Dining Room.
