Location Europe Vrbnik is a small historical town on the northeast coast of the island Krk in Croatia. According to the last census it had a population of 1,260. Prevalent economic activity is production of grapes and wine Žlahtina. Vrbnik Vrbnik is still principally an excursionist tourist location with significant number of visitors coming to pilgrimage.

Halls are currently used as a dry marina. According to regional spatial plan Namori bay is intended to become a new centre of Vrbnik with all associated functions. N E W
Traffic connections RIJEKA Road 25 km to the bridge that connects the island to the mainland. 20 km from Rijeka which is connected to all major European traffic centres. Air In the 2014 island s airport (25 km from Vrbnik) had flights to 23 European cities. Direct flight from any European city takes no more than 3 hours (London 2.3 h, Stockholm 2.5 h, Hamburg 2 h). Sea 15 min by car to the centre of nautical tourism in Croatia, Marina Punat. 130 nautical miles to Venice and 260 to Dubrovnik.
Growing tourism potential So far Vrbnik has been focused on rich gastronomical and cultural offer. Vrbnik has recently recognised its tourism potential. In 2013 the county spatial plan has been altered so Vrbnik now has the location Namori bay for development of different range of tourism and hospitality objects. The island Krk is one of the most sunny parts of Europe having 2,500 hours of sun per year. Mediterranean climate is pleasant and mild. The average summer air temperature is 22.8 C, and the sea water temperature is 23-25 C.
