The annual Luna Park Hot Dog Day featuring Australia s Biggest Hot Dog Eating Competition is just one of our marquee events, which attracted over 3500 people last year. This year is going to be bigger and better because of: Continual growth in popularity, nationally Live band & performances throughout the day Extending the duration of the event schedule

Event Purpose The Luna Park Hot Dog Day started because we wanted to bring a little bit of fun into Melbourne s winter period, engage with our community in an entertaining and involving way, while growing an event much like Coney Island USA s world famous Nathan s Hot Dog Day. Now in its fourth year, Luna Park Hot Dog Day is the largest hot dog eating competition in Australia; a highly anticipated and sanctioned event on the official competitive eating calendar!
Event Promotion Luna Park invests in a two pronged marketing approach in order to: 1. Recruit competitors to the event 2.
