MEMORANDUM TO: FROM: League Presidents and Managers Hank Nydam, City Parks Manager SUBJECT: REMINDER 1. Please submit PLAY FIELD USER CONTRACTS, FEES & CERTIFICATES OF INSURANCE. 2. All Leagues and organizations that are using the funds provided by the City of Oak Harbor for field improvements or equipment must be approved in advance and orders must be made by me. 3. All requests to modify or improve school athletic facilities by organizations other than the School District Maintenance or Grounds personnel must be submitted in writing. 4. Please read and present to coaches and organizations that use school fields and facilities the instructions, rules and contracts for use of school fields and facilities. 5. Review field assignments and contact persons in case of conflicts. 6. To avoid conflicts, it may be helpful to post a time schedule of field designations. 7. Notify me about tournaments or camps, so that field schedules may be altered, etc. 8. Notify me about league completion dates so the portable restrooms may be removed. 9. All leagues must provide their own marking chalk. Each league will be given a storage area for the chalk. 10. The City of Oak Harbor will provide portable bathroom services. All requests for port-apotties need to be made through me. WE MUST HAVE THE COOPERATION OF ALL TEAMS USING THE FIELDS. If you have any questions, please contact Hank Nydam at 279-4756.

LEAGUE RULES 1. Garbage and litter must be picked up and disposed of. 2. Holes and turf must be raked or replaced. 3. Goal posts, backstops and bases must not be moved. 4. Use of tobacco, alcohol and/or drugs is prohibited on City and school property. 5. Do not use spikes for the soccer goals only sand bags. 6. Dogs are to be kept on leash and cleaned up after (Parks ordinance #704080). (You should be familiar with your league s guidelines with regards to dogs present at practices and games. Please abide by these guidelines. The City of Oak Harbor will be in contact with the Animal Control Officer regarding enforcement.) 7. No dogs allowed during league games, as defined by each league s guidelines. Please dispose of litter in City Park or School District dumpsters. NOTE: IF THE CONDITION OF THE FIELDS DO NOT IMPROVE OR THE RULES SET DOWN BY THE CONTRACTUAL AGREEMENT ARE VIOLATED, THE SCHOOL DISTRICT HAS THE AUTHORITY TO CLOSE THEM DOWN.
