Welcome! Lidernenhütte SAC the original Famous mountains or a fashionable place do not exist nearby. Neither do we have showers or double rooms. Lidernenhütte is not a hotel but a mountain hut with simple infrastructure which keeps her initial charm. She trumps with cosiness, tasty food made from natural and fresh ingredients and her spectacular location. There is much to experience at the Lidernenhütte! Fantastic sunsets over lake Lucerne, child-friendly surrounding, good accessibility by public transport, an airy cable car, different climbing-possibilities for small and tall, long and short hikes, a beautiful mountain-spring, sunny autumn days above the fog and different ski and snowshoe routes. Opening hours: Wintertime: The hut is run from the 5 th of December until the beginning of April at all weekends (Friday to Sunday) and from 26.12.2015-4.1.2016 and 4.2. - 14.2. 2016 it is run continuously. Summertime: From end of May until middle of June it is run at the weekends and from the 18 th of June until the 16 th of October continuously. Mountain hut The Lidernenhütte was built in 1944 by the section Mythen (www.sac-mythen.ch) of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC. In 1981 and 2008 it was renovated and expanded and in 2013 all windows were replaced, it was freshly insulated and got a new outer appearance. Infrastructure It offers space for 85 beds in six collective bedrooms all equipped with duvets. A thin sleeping bag is compulsory. You can bring your own or rent/buy one at our place. Running cold water is accessible in the washrooms all over the year. We do not have showers. We got slippers in different sizes (for children as well). Three day rooms in different sizes can be ideally used for courses, seminars and private celebrations (birthdays or marriages). For your seminar we can offer flipchart, beamer and overhead projector. Board games, children s books and a small playground are at your service. Climbing possibilities are directly in front of the hut and climbing material can be rent at our place (for children as well). Allocation of the sleeping places We try hard to please our guests. Especially on the weekends it is difficult to deal with individual wishes.
Food and beverages Soups, traditional dishes or ice cream: We are passionate cooks and attach value to regional, natural and organic ingredients. It is not always possible to avoid convenience food, but most of what we offer is homemade: Whole-grain bread, yoghurt, cakes, ice tea or ice cream (only in summer time). Dairy products such as milk, cheese and butter are from nearby alps and our beef is from an organic farm. For our homemade breads and cakes we mostly use freshly grinded flour and honey. Dinner We serve a uniform dinner at 6.30 pm (no à la carte possible in the evenings). Are you vegetarian, intolerant of lactose or do you have any allergy? No problem just tell us and we will prepare something suitable for you. Breakfast You will find bread, butter, jam and cheese on the table. Muesli, yoghurt and fresh fruits on the buffet. We serve coffee, milk, hot chocolate or tea to drink. Lunch Do you need lunch for the next day? Order it at your arrival and it will be ready in the morning. Your wishes If you like to celebrate a birthday or a marriage at our place, we will kindly make you some menu suggestions.

Please note that every reservation is binding. Cancellations have to be undertaken until the evening before at 6pm at the latest, for groups with 10 people or more two days in advance. Group reservations with more than 20 people are only possible by paying a deposit. Dogs Uncomplicated dogs can sleep for 5.- CHF in a dog crate the cellar. Feeding bowl and blankets are available. Cotton sleeping bags Thin sleeping bags are compulsory. Rent for CHF 5.--, purchase for CHF 55.--. Payment possibilities Cash payment in Swiss Francs (CHF) and Euro (current exchange rate). Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard ( plus 3 % surcharge). Postcard and Maestro (free of charge, from CHF 20.--) Unattended hut, winter room If the hut is not attended (see opening hours), you have the possibility to stay and cook in the winter room. Please inform us via E-Mail, if you like to use the winter room. (Maximum number is about 12 people)
Location, journey, cable car Location Lidernenhütte SAC is located in the canton of Uri on 1727 MASL between the lake of Uri and the valley of Muotathal. Arrival Our hut is reached by car or public transport: with the car from Brunnen or Flüelen via Sisikon to Riemenstalden / Chäppeliberg. Or by train to Sisikon and with a postal van to Chäppeliberg. Postal van: 041 820 32 55, reservation compulsory. From Chäppeliberg you have the possibility to hike to Lidernenhütte via different trails (1 ¼ - 2 ½ hours). You can also take the cable car up the hill from where you only walk 15 minutes by foot to our hut. Cable car July / August / September June / October November to Mai (weekends) Monday to Friday If it is bad weather, the cable car is only open on request: 044 820 44 48 or 041 870 42 46. If you arrive with the evening post car(sisikon: departure at 4.40pm), please inform the crew from the cable car so they know you are coming.
