With its famous tea houses, buying packets of scintillating tea is a must for any visitor. You can also expect to find traditional items as souvenirs or home decoration around this place. Edae It is an area near Ewha Women's University and a heaven especially for the females who love to shop till they drop! There is possibly nothing that you wouldn't expect to find here from clothing, bags, accessories, cosmetics, textiles, kitchenware and ginseng. The shops are very competitive in the area, so anybody having a knack for bargaining is sure to win a lot of steals from here. Since there is no airport, one can take a ferry from any of the three ports on Korea's east coast, namely, Mukho, Pohang and Gangneung. You can walk around the rocky cliff shoreline between Dodong and Jeodong, an area that was not accessible previously. Ulleungdo has quite a number of festivals, the best part being that most are impromptu ones, so expect the unexpected. In Jeodong, you can walk up and around a gorgeous waterfall which provides most of the drinking water for the community. The Dokdo Observatory overlooks the Dodong Harbour and can be reached by a cable car by a short walk from Dodong. The observatory sits on top of a mountain peak. The amusement park is spread over a huge area with spaces for department stores, folk museum, shopping mall, hotel, and restaurant. Expect people fleeing to Daecheon, an island, in July of every year during the mud festival. The small cities of Buyeo and Gongju are home to museums full of ornaments from the time of the Baekje Dynasty which also has had a huge influence on Japanese craft and regal tombs. Cheonan has the country's largest museum. Chungbuk has three national parks within its borders. Songnisan is the most popular coming in from Beopjusa, a highly picturesque temple near the park's main entrance. The eastern part of the region is mountainous and would be a treat for people hiking on the trail of Songnisan National Park. Expect to come across a few beautiful temples on the way.
