Accommodation Park Avenue Changi: www.parkavenuechangi.com We will be recommending the Park Avenue Hotel near Changi Airport as the base for our visiting WIC participants. During WIC 2014 we are keen to co-locate all our teams in the same premises in order to build on the collaborative knowledge-sharing dynamic of our event, as well for as ease of logistics: we are targeting Park Avenue for this purpose. The hotel is a short walk from the Expo MRT station and approx 25 mins walk to the ITE College East campus. During the event we expect to provide a shuttle bus service between hotel to site at the start and end of each day: information on this service will be shared in the lead-up to the event. The hotel rate during the event is approx. 130 per night. Our Delegate Relations Manager Grace Lung (see page 10 for contact information) will advise on group booking packages for the hotel following confirmation of team participation. Capri by Fraser Changi City Singapore: http://singapore.capribyfraser.com/ An alternative close by, this hotel offers studio apartments and is also located about 25 minutes to walk to ITE College East and 10 minutes to the nearest MRT station Expo (CG1). The hotel rate during the event is approx. 170 per night. WSF018_201401_Team_Guide Date: 14.02.14 4 of 10

Food Given the diversity of ethnic culture, Singapore offers a wide range of variety when it comes to food. The Singaporean cuisine is influenced by Malay, Chinese, Indonesian, Indian, Peranakan, and other Western cultures. Some of the most popular choices of food are chicken rice, chilli crab, char kway teow (flat rice noodles stir fried with soy sauce), and many more. The ITE College East campus also offers heavily subsidised student canteen areas, fast food stores and convenience stores. Sudden, heavy rainfalls are common all year round. 33 C (92 F) during daytime, and 26 C (81 F) during the evening are average temperatures that can be expected in June, when the WIC takes place. Humidity can be expected to be around 90 95%. Note: The WIC site is outside, under the cover of a roof in the ITE College East amphitheatre. Suitable clothing is advised.
