Overnight Sydney Airport Hotel Day 2 - Wednesday 5th September, 2018 (L,D) Sydney to Munich - In Flight (Meals in flight) Day 3 - Thursday 6th September, 2018 (B) Upon arrival into Munich we are transferred to our hotel. (Check in from 2pm). We can store our luggage until our rooms are ready. This afternoon/evening is free. Hotel: 3 Nights Munich Day 4 - Friday 7th September, 2018 - Munich (B,D) After breakfast we enjoy a 1/2 Day Tour of Munich is home to numerous centuries-old buildings, museums and monuments. The city is one of Germany's biggest hubs, where history, art, culture, technology, innovation, business and tourism meet. The capital of Bavaria is well- known for its annual Oktoberfest and historical beer halls, like the Hofbraeuhaus. In the pedestrian area of the Old Town, Marienplatz is a central square with landmarks such as the Gothic New Town Hall with the popular daily "Glockenspiel" show, the Old Town Hall and St. Peter, the oldest church in town. You can get a glimpse of Hitler's life and the Nazi movement through the stories of your tour guide. You will meet your local guide at Marienplatz, at the Fish-fountain, where you will start the guided tour exploring the city. This afternoon is free and we enjoy dinner tonight with the group. Hotel: 1 Pre-Cruise night Dubrovnik Day 7: Monday 10th September, 2018 - Dubrovnik (B,D) This morning after breakfast we take a 2 hour guided walking tour of the Old Town and the ancient city walls. This afternoon we embark on our 6 Day Coastal Cruise along the magnificent Dalmatian Coastline & islands on route to Spilt. Relax and let the captain and crew take care of you, during the day we will discover these island on land and by sea (don t forget your swimmers) and explore the underworld of the Adriatic Sea. The evenings we will have free in most ports to discover old churches and other historical towns and dine with the locals. Day 14: Monday 17 September 2018 Chalon-Sur-Saone Beaune (B,L,D) Chalon Sur Saone is best known as the birthplace of photography and the center of Burgundy s wine region. Travel by road to the quaint village of Beaune, where we visit the Hospices de Beaune, one of the finest examples of French fifteenth century architecture. Marvel at the multi colored roofs of this former hospital, now a museum, which has become one of the symbols of Burgundy. Return to the ship for lunch, and then depart this afternoon for Macon arriving in the evening. Emerald ACTIVE: Guided bike tour from Tournus to Macon. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax on board and explore Arles further. Day 19: Saturday 22 September 2018 Arles Disembarkation - Nice (B) After breakfast disembark our river cruise ship in Arles, and transfer to Nice where we will spend the next 3 nights. Hotel: 3 Nights Nice Day 20: Sunday 23 September, 2018 (B) This full day tour will introduce you to the natural beauty of the 'Moyenne Corniche' as we travel to Monaco with stops to appreciate the views and admire places of interest along the way. We make a stop at the medieval village of Eze, perched high on a cliff above the Mediterranean Sea. Whilst there you will have the chance to visit a traditional perfume factory. After a wander around the village where every street is full of charm and history, our tour then takes us on to Monaco where you will have free time to see the Cathedral where Princess Grace is buried, the changing of the guard at noon and the Palace, then we take a drive along the Formula One race circuit. Of course no Monaco tour would be complete without a stroll around Monte-Carlo with its Casino, superb hotels and beautiful gardens.
