Venue Facilities The lifting area will hold 2 platforms within the main hall that can hold up to 200 spectators. The warm up area is situated behind the lifting area in an adjoining room and will be supported by a feed to allow lifters to watch the event whilst a PA system will keep lifters updated on the progress of the event and the scheduled times of lifting. A separate area for Officials and registration will allow lifters to be weighed in and administration to be conducted away from the main lifting area. The venue has a café and restaurant on site that will be open for the entire duration of the event each day as required. The Student Union bar will be available each night from 1800-2359 hrs accompanied by a finger buffet for free for all competitors and officials. The weigh in room is situated next to the restaurant allowing individuals to weigh in then eat on site. The venue also has access to 250+ rooms allowing many lifters to be accommodated on site at a price much less than the local hotels. Each room has a good size bed, TV, En Suite Shower and drink making facilities included in the cost at a B&B in the region of 30-35 pppn. Where possible teams will be located in the same blocks in an Athletes Village Style. There is parking for up to 300 cars in the main car park with overflow available as required.. General Information With its central UK location, Telford is an ever popular choice for national event organisers who must have an easy to reach mid-point for delegates and visitors. Offering all the benefits of a city centre business hub, but with none of the congestion, Telford is easy to get to by car or rail. Best Lifters will receive: Best Lifter awards Including MPF Additional prizes as dictated by the BDFPA subject to availability Competition Entry Fees Entry fees are indicated below: First entry 55.00 Each Additional Entry 15.00 Entry deadline will be set at 29 May 15. All National federations are to have completed entry lists and payment with the BDFPA as at this date. Governing bodies are responsible for the payment of fees by 29 May 2015 to the BDFPA. Officials, referees admin staff and loaders The following will apply to all staff required for the event: All referees and admin staff will be given meal tickets for the duration of the event on the days where they are employed as an Official (see point b) Supported accommodation for will be provided on the following basis: a. Referees must book into the University accommodation only and they must complete the booking themselves b. The days spent as a referee are the days that count towards costs, if they are lifting that day they do not receive accommodation but will still receive free meal vouchers if required to officiate this is based on the fact that a day where they are lifting is a day they would have been present anyway. c. The accommodation covers the nights Friday 12 th June and Saturday 13 th June inclusive. (BDFPA Refs have additional arrangements by the BDFPA) d. The accommodation charges will be reimbursed to the referee at the event and not paid for by the BDFPA or Championship provider prior to the event e.
