Outdoor display Exhibitors even come with their own train. This is made possible by the ideal location of the Messe Berlin outdoor display area with its own rail track. There is plenty of room for rolling stock on the 3.5 kilometres of track, and the layout is extremely practical, with direct connections to the exhibition halls and the public transport network, making this a unique facility. Nowhere else but on the InnoTrans exhibition grounds can you present such a wide diversity of the latest developments in construction and road-rail vehicles, freight cars and locomotives, as well as entire systems for local, regional and main line services. 4

CONVENTION Dialogue at the highest professional level. The InnoTrans Convention is an international meeting at the highest level. Current and future mobility issues are discussed here in an interdisciplinary dialogue. The main emphasis at the convention is on the Dialog Forum. It is organized by the German Transport Forum, VDV (Association of German Transport Companies), UNIFE (Association of the European Rail Industry) and VDB (German Railway Industry Association). The Rail Leaders Summit (RLS) is organized by Deutsche Bahn AG in collaboration with Messe Berlin and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. It provides ministers of transport and the chief executives of international transport companies with an outstanding opportunity for exchanging ideas. The International Tunnel Forum, consisting of a series of compact discussions between international participants, is organized by STUVA (German Research Association for Underground Transportation Facilities). The subject matter augments that of the Tunnel Construction segment of the exhibition. The Public Transport Forum focuses on current and future developments in public transport. It is organized by the Planungsbüro für Verkehr (PBV) and ETC Consultants GmbH. The PTI Hall Forum (Public Transport & Interiors Hall Forum) provides a separate programme covering two of the main segments at the fair. It deals with purchasing and design, two aspects of particular importance in public transport. The main emphasis at the PTI Hall Forum is on the International Design Forum and the DB Suppliers Forum. 6

SERVICES On-site registration for trade visitors: Entrance East and Entrance Hall 9 Ideally prepared for a visit to the fair. Business Lounge: This is located at Marshall-Haus and provides pleasant surroundings in which to relax or hold discussions without being disturbed. Wi-fi is also available here free of charge. Career Point: Companies wishing to publicise their career opportunities can be identified by the Career Point Mark. The Career Point Pavilion in Hall 7.1c is the focal point for newcomers to the industry. Entrances: With the new Entrance Hall 9 there are now five entrances to the exhibition grounds. On-site registration is available here and at the Entrance East. All entrances provide easy access to public transport. In hall 9 you can relax with a business breakfast before the start of the fair daily from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Event database: This provides an overview, with selective search functions, of all events taking place at InnoTrans. Airport shuttle: The shuttle bus which is free of charge for trade visitors operates between the airport and the exhibition grounds. Please find the latest status of the airport in the daily press or on our website. For a quick journey we recommend to use the Berlin public transport. Shuttle on the exhibition grounds: A free shuttle bus access is available at set points on the exhibition grounds. InnoTrans app: Our new smartphone app will be available to download from September 2012 and will help you to find your way around the exhibition grounds, as well as providing extensive information about InnoTrans and its exhibitors. 12
Business Lounge: Marshall-Haus Career Point Pavilion Hall 7.1c InnoTrans Report Guided Tour: Several times daily guided tours will take place at InnoTrans 2012 to exhibitors who will present their novelties. They will take about 90 minutes in English and German concerning the subject areas, adapted from the different segments of InnoTrans. You can sign in for a guided tour at the counter in the Business Lounge at Marshall-Haus. Online tickets: Prior to the fair tickets can be ordered and printed out at www.innotrans.com /ticketshop. Print-outs of online tickets entitle the holder to free use of public transport on the day on which they are valid. They will be accepted at all entrances and avoid the need to stand in line. All visitors who have not bought their ticket online should purchase them from the central registration counter for trade visitors at the Entrance East or Entrance Hall 9. Travel service: Messe Berlin can provide you with an individual travel package and professional support in your search for a suitable hotel room.
