INNOTRANS 2012 Your appointment with the world of rail transport. The signal for the start of the largest international trade show for the world of passenger and freight transport will be given on 18 September 2012. This is when the leading international trade fair for transport technology will be taking place in Berlin, bringing outstanding opportunities for experts and professionals from all over the world to establish profitable contacts. With its ideal combination of trade fair, convention and outdoor display with track area InnoTrans is a unique event that has become indispensable for the entire industry. A warm welcome awaits you at InnoTrans in Berlin. WHAT IS ON DISPLAY Five trade fairs under one roof. Each of the five segments that make up InnoTrans is of such significance that it could be considered a leading trade fair in its own right. Outdoor display Exhibitors even come with their own train. This is made possible by the ideal location of the Messe Berlin outdoor display area with its own rail track. There is plenty of room for rolling stock on the 3.5 kilometres of track, and the layout is extremely practical, with direct connections to the exhibition halls and the public transport network, making this a unique facility. Nowhere else but on the InnoTrans exhibition grounds can you present such a wide diversity of the latest developments in construction and road-rail vehicles, freight cars and locomotives, as well as entire systems for local, regional and main line services. 4

TARGET GROUPS Over 103,000 trade visitors and satisfied faces everywhere. Attendance at InnoTrans passed the 100,000 mark by a long way in 2010, an encouraging sign, thereby offering our colleagues in the industry outstanding opportunities for making contacts. CONVENTION Dialogue at the highest professional level. The InnoTrans Convention is an international meeting at the highest level. Current and future mobility issues are discussed here in an interdisciplinary dialogue. The main emphasis at the convention is on the Dialog Forum. It is organized by the German Transport Forum, VDV (Association of German Transport Companies), UNIFE (Association of the European Rail Industry) and VDB (German Railway Industry Association). The Rail Leaders Summit (RLS) is organized by Deutsche Bahn AG in collaboration with Messe Berlin and the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development. It provides ministers of transport and the chief executives of international transport companies with an outstanding opportunity for exchanging ideas. The International Tunnel Forum, consisting of a series of compact discussions between international participants, is organized by STUVA (German Research Association for Underground Transportation Facilities). The subject matter augments that of the Tunnel Construction segment of the exhibition. The Public Transport Forum focuses on current and future developments in public transport. It is organized by the Planungsbüro für Verkehr (PBV) and ETC Consultants GmbH. The PTI Hall Forum (Public Transport & Interiors Hall Forum) provides a separate programme covering two of the main segments at the fair. It deals with purchasing and design, two aspects of particular importance in public transport. The main emphasis at the PTI Hall Forum is on the International Design Forum and the DB Suppliers Forum. 6
