SERVICES & FACILITIES As one of the few internationally certified aviation training centres in the region, GAA offers a comprehensive and modern aviation training infrastructure, fully-equipped with the latest state-of-the-art facilities and training devices. As the world leader in computer-based training for the aviation industry, CPaT has also provided GAA with a Learning Management System (LMS) enabling our customers to fully track and monitor their personnel s learning trajectories. AB-INITIO TRAINING PROGRAMMES Creating and training the next generation of professional airline pilots and aircraft engineers forms a fundamental part of GAA s future vision. In the Middle East alone, the estimated demand for new pilots is approximately 36,300 to the year 2030. While, a recent forecast by aircraft manufacturer Boeing, estimated that, with new aircrafts joining the global fleet and retiring engineers, the world will require 650,000 new aircraft technicians over the next 20 years with 53,000 in the Middle East region. Our key partner in these programmes is Tamkeen, the Bahrain Labour Fund. Our managed Ab-Initio Pilot Programme for cadet pilots is unique in the MENA region, and is designed to attract highly qualified and motivated individuals with no prior flying experience, who have the passion to achieve a rewarding and exciting career in aviation. The term Ab-Initio means from the beginning, and the programme itself serves as an
orientation for Bahraini aspiring cadet pilots, enabling them to obtain a JAR Airline Transport Pilot s Licence (ATPL) upon successful programme completion. With its selected Flight Training Organisation (FTO) partners, GAA s pioneering Ab-Initio Pilot Programme offers the highest level of practical orientation from the very first day, combining both theoretical and practical flight phases. The programme was launched to qualify young cadets who possess the prerequisite qualities required to be a commercial pilot, and can handle the intensity and demands of the 16 to 19 month course. Our Ab-Initio Programme for cadet engineers is a structured four-year programme, which is managed by GAA through our partnership with AFAQ Institute of Aviation Technology in Bahrain. Graduates will receive international licences issued by EASA (European Aviation Safety Agency) (PART 66 B1 or B2 Licence) and will have guaranteed employment with our sister company Gulf Technics.
