2/5 DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR: DAY 1: ARICA (IN) CODPA Morning reception at Arica airport (or exit from the hotel), Departure southward in direction to Codpa Valley. Arrival in Codpa, beautiful oasis hidden in a deep ravine. We visit the church and the crop fields along the creek. Posibility to do a short and easy walk through the fertile valley and it s crop fields (about 1h30) that allows us to discover the lifestyle of its inhabitants. Accommodation: Lodge Meals: Lunch DAY 2: CODPA - PUTRE Morning visit to the Ofragia petroglyphs. Then we take the road along the prehispanic towns visiting, Timar, Tignamar and Saxamar. Picnic. The tour continues visiting Belen, Chaquipiña before reaching Zapahuira. A brief excursion to the viewpoint over Putre dominated by the volcano Tarapaca. Transfer to Putre. Accommodation: Hotel DAY 3: PUTRE - LAKE CHUNGARA SURIRE SALT LAKE - CODPA Full day excursion into the highlands. We visit the Lauca National Park and the famous Lake Chungara. We continue to the Surire salt lake and we descend to Codpa. Lunch in route. Accommodation: Lodge DAY 4: CODPA - ARICA (OUT) In the morning we depart towards the city of Arica. Visiting the Azapa Valley, and its archaeological museum. Lunch and transfer to Arica airport. END OF THE SERVICE.
