Turn right (North) and go north on KS-7 Highway to the 83 rd Street Exit. Exit at 83 rd Street and turn left (West) across KS-7 about 250 yards and the Monticello Historical Society Building is on your right (North side of street). For people in Clay or Platte county, Missouri, or those that reside north of I-70, take I-435 South to cross I-70 and then intersect with Shawnee-Mission Parkway and turn right (West) onto Shawnee-Mission Parkway to KS-7 Highway. Follow the ramp over KS-7 Highway and down to KS-7 South bound on KS-7 Highway to 83 rd Street. Exit at 83 rd Street and turn right (West) onto 83 rd Street and go about 150 yards and the Monticello Historical Society Building is on your right (North side of the street), See you there! Minutes: The October meeting was called to order by President Dick Combs at 4:30 pm, on Sunday, October 13, 2013, at the farm of Dick & Brenda Combs. The November meeting will be the annual Chili Dinner and Bingo Party at the Monticello Historical Society building. There was a sign-up for food circulated at the picnic and the following people signed up to bring the

following items. Bush - Raw veggies, dip Combs - 2 apple pies, hot dogs Haeberle - Crackers, onions, dessert McBurney - Chili, dessert, decaf coffee, table decorations Rue - Chili, cheese, relish, ketchup Shaw - Chili, buns Shepherd - Fritos, Doritos Thatcher - Pop, water Old Business: There was discussion about the re-ordering of the KCRG Polo shirts with our KCRG logo embroidered on the shirts since there has been interest by our members for getting more shirts. If we purchase at least 12 shirts the price will be almost the same as before but this time the setup charge is included in the price. The prices for either blue or white shirts that include the setup fee and tax will be: Up to Extra Large (XL) $27.50 Up to XL, with pocket $30.50 XXL and larger $29.50 XXL & up, with pocket $32.50 This information will be printed in the November and December Vintage Voice. We will have to decide at November s meeting how long we are going to advertize the shirts before placing our order. New Business: The KCRG Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Bingham Waggoner Historical Estate, 313 West Pacific Avenue, Independence, Missouri, 64050. The cost will be $20.00 per person. Tim Enke reported that he still had several KCRG Club polo shirts that have not been picked up and that he had them ready for delivery. (Tim will bring the shirts to the November meeting the Monticello Historical Society Building.)

Report on the October KCRG Picnic at the Combs s Farmstead: The October 2013 Picnic was held at the farm of Dick & Brenda Combs for a great time, good food and fellowship with fellow members of the KCRG. Those in attendance were Sonny & Marilyn Rue (36 Roadster), Bud Shepherd (52 Victoria), Merv & Betty Haeberle (36 Pickup), John & Judy McBurney, Dave & Carol Crawford, David & Susan Bush, Jim & Sandi Shaw, Barry & Elaine Barnes, Dave Thatcher, Ed Waterman, Ed Hall, John Didde & Sabrina Rasa, Ken & Diane Selvey, and our hosts for the picnic Dick & Brenda Combs and their families. There were a lot of conversations going on as we enjoyed the company of everyone and a lot of tire kicking. We enjoyed brats hot dogs and a great selection of delicious side dishes and desserts. Reminders: As a reminder to everyone, the National Club requires that every member of a Regional Group is supposed to be a member of the National Early Ford V-8 Club as well. Memberships can be had for $38.00 (Joint husband and wife), $ 35.00 (Individual), the above two examples receive the V-8 TIMES as well a roster, $ 15.00 (Individual) but only receives a Roster, and finally $ 5.00 (Individual) no magazine, no roster, no nutin but a ballot to vote for National Directors. All of the other types of memberships also receive ballots to vote for National Officers. Local - Tours Events: National Tours V-8 Meets 2014: The 41 st Annual Texas Tour will be held in Kerrville, Texas, April 3 5, 2014. For information contact Joyce Parsons Registrations Chmn.
