International Folklore Festival The Forty-fourth International Folklore Festival will take place in the city of urgas - "To preserve the legacy of our ancestors and to pass it on to our children". urgas Sand Sculptures Festival Every summer there is a city built of sand figures in the urgas Park Lake, in an area of five yards, right next to the beach. Every year, the festival`s theme is different Sea World, Fairy Tale Heroes, Circus, Cartoon Character, Hall of Fame, etc. Over 2500 tons of sand are used every year in order to build the fantastic models. The special lighting adds to the charm of the unique sand city in the evening. The sand sculptures festival, organised by the Municipality of urgas, welcomes participants from around the world Indonesia, England, elgium, Holland, Ireland, Russia, Ukraine, ulgaria, etc. Evidence of sand sculpture art, dates as far back as Ancient Egypt. Concert of.t.r. Iconic rock band.t.r. will perform at the stage of urgas Summer Theatre. During their long experience as a rock band they have played on stage with many legendary musicians and groups: Deep Purple, Whitesnake, Scorpions, Ronnie James Dio Heaven and Hell, Nazareth, Motorhead, Europe, Accept, Gamma Ray, Michael Schenker Group, Iron Maiden. Festival "Join the city" "Join the City" is a festival in wich artists and audiences alike work together to produce interesting and thought-provoking pieces of Art. The festival includes a series of events in which the audience has the opportunity to participate actively. Ordinary people are able to become the protogonists - boundaries between artists and audiences do not exist. You can see, touch, feel or create art. Illusionists' Art is the focus of this year's festival.
