If you missed it you missed a great time playing Bunco. I want to thank Penny Slater for teaching us all how to play and for providing prizes and The Monkey. We will definitely have to play this again in the future. April is election night and you all know what that means.free FOOD! It also means we need everyone to come out and participate. This year we will be voting on Vice President, Secretary, Membership, Activities and At Large. We currently have volunteers for all of the positions with the exception of Membership. The floor will be open for nominations that night so please come and nominate your friends, or enemies whatever the case may be. After elections we will be giving you more information on the trips that the trip planning committee is working on for 2010. I know there have been several great ideas and bids come back for some wonderful travel for next year. Remember the meeting starts at 7:00 pm, social hour at 6:00 pm. Membership Birthdays We just ended one of the best local ski seasons Snow Trails has had in many years, if you did not make it to Snow Trails this year, you missed some of the best snow in Ohio. The members who were on the Telluride trip will be around to tell their stories too. But now, it is time to decide where we will be skiing, for 2010. The trip planning committee has been in the process of planning our 2010 winter trips. So, plan to attend the April membership meeting and make your vote count as to where we will be skiing in 2010. Find out all about the upcoming trips and the location choices we will be deciding upon. Will we be going to Breckenridge - Colorado, Park City - Utah or Banff - Canada, just to name a few. Come out and let your voice be heard. Remember, April is also election night so, come out and make your vote count. Support the new board members, who will be representing the club for 2010-2011. If you have not been involved with the club as a volunteer, maybe it is time for you to participate, as a board member or a trip leader. Maybe it is time to give back, to the best Ski Club around! We will have some great food too!. Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Y-O-U, happy birthday to you. Look forward to seeing everyone. Page APRIL 3 2009 3 San Juan Cruise 2009 October 17 25, 2009 28 lucky people are currently signed up for this cruise. Airfare has been secured for them and we are making our second payment on this trip. As I stated last month if you are going you need to have put down at least $500 by March 31. Final payment is due by June 1. If you are interested in getting trip insurance there have been 2 companies recommended: -Travel Guard which can be found at http://www.travelguard.com/ -Access America which can be found at http://www.accessamerica.com/ You can go to those web sites and take care of securing your trip insurance on your own separately from the cruise or travel company. This seems to give you better coverage for a lower price than what we can get through the cruise line. Based upon the airfare that we secured the prices for the cruise are as follows: Inside Room $1100 Window Room $1200 Balcony $1300 We still have 3 window rooms available so see me right away if you are interested in going. This cruise will begin with the first day and evening at The Caribe Hilton in San Juan, it is one of the most luxurious resorts in Puerto Rico, with oceanfront swimming pools, whirlpools and hammocks next to the secluded beach. The next morning we will be whisked away on the cruise ship for stops Barbados, St. Thomas, Dominica, St. Kitts and Dominican Republic. Remember if you do not have at least $500 per person paid by March 31 it is possible that you will lose your room. If you have any questions, please contact me right away. Thanks! While being served 5 different wines from Ferrante Winery in Geneva, Ohio, along with light appetizers, you can peer through the windows and enjoy the breath taking view. You might catch a glimpse of white tailed deer, blue heron hunting in the Cuyahoga River, families enjoying a hike along the Ohio & Erie Towpath Trail, and historic buildings that hold within their frames stories of those who have called this valley home.
