Contacting Your Son IF there is an emergency at home and you need to get a hold of your son, please call: 920-622-3681 This line is reserved for administrative questions and emergencies only. If your son has special needs Camp Napowan s staff is trained to work with ALL scouts, including those with special needs. We will do our best to make your son feel like he is part of the collective group and giving extra attention to work through and understand the requirements of the merit badges and activities. The medical form that is filled out before camp is reviewed upon arrival and if there is something marked in that form that tells us your son may need extra help, it is flagged and the administration will be made aware, so it is very important that all special needs are marked on the health form. If your son has dietary restrictions With the increase of food allergies present in today s youth, we at Camp Napowan have strived to make sure that every scout with dietary restrictions are fed healthy and appetizing food at every meal that has been prepared safely. If your son has a dietary restriction, please send an email to napowankitchen@gmail.com with the following information: Scout s Name Scout s Troop Week Attending List of ALLERGIES or RESTRICTIONS related to food *Our kitchen staff will try our hardest to make alternate arrangements to allergies and restrictions. In severe cases, we may have to ask you provide some of the food to ensure your son is eating at every meal! ** If your son does not have any health threatening restrictions and is just a picky eater, you will need to provide alternatives to ensure he is eating at every meal. Camp Napowan is not responsible for picky eaters.
If your son takes medication Please give your son s medication to his scout leader before they depart for Camp Napowan. Make sure that it is in the original container with the patient name and recommended dosage with enough medication for the entire week. Scouts will be administered the medication by a designated Scout Leader while at camp. All medication administered will be logged in our Medication Log and turned into Camp Administration at the end of the week. IF YOUR SON TAKES MEDICATION DURING SCHOOL PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT MEDICATION GOES UP TO CAMP WITH HIM!!!
