SUCCESSFUL INSTALLATION OF AMP SYSTEM BY IMC-YY Recently, IMC-YY Shipyard successfully installed an Alternative Marine Power (AMP) System on the container vessel MV MOL COURAGE (316m X 45.6m), which was DD/repaired primo 2013. The AMP system is an advanced ECO concept of shore power supply system, which can reduce A/E exhaust gas and CO2 into the air of the port by using shore power for the ship's equipment during berthing. The main work scopes have included preparation of spaces, laying and connection of hundreds of meters of cables with the biggest of 60mm DIA, installation and testing of high voltage (6.6KVA) equipments, etc. In addition, the shipyard arranged a skillful team, prepared an excellent working plan and laid down procedures specially for this work. Upon completion of the installations, a high voltage test, insulation test and other commission tests were taken with perfect result on the whole system and to the satisfaction of the ship's owner and class surveyor. This project is again showing IMC-YY Shipyard's advantage by the ability of electric engineering and development on the trends of environment protection of Green Earth. With their expertise, experience and skillful team, IMC-YY is looking forward to rendering their best engineering & repair services to ship owners. Photo: Zhoushan IMC-YY.
MORSKA JOINED THE STORM & BULL SHIPPING PORTFOLIO As from May this year, Storm & Bull Shipping is exclusive agent for MORSKA STOCZNIA REMONTOWA S.A. in Swinoujscie, Poland. Our two Polish yards, Morska and Gryfia Shipyard in Stettin, are managed by the same Owner. Due to internal reorganisation, the commercial management for both yards, including procedures for enquiries, has been coordinated. In practise, this will not change anything for our customers. Enquiries sent to Storm & Bull Shipping will be forwarded to the yard, who will then find the ultimate location for your vessel at either Morska or Gryfia Shipyard. Morska should be well known for many of our Shipowning customers through repairs and dockings in prior years. The yard has an efficient and skilled staff of 360 employees. Morska has the following docks and berths: Photo: Morska Stocznia Remontowa
