IMPROVING ACCESS TO ENERGY IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA CONFERENCE AGENDA 8 10 November 2010: Conference Objectives: To provide an opportunity to discuss strategies on improving energy access in sub-saharan Africa; To encourage the use of clean, easily accessible and affordable forms of energy; To engage senior African policymakers and planners from around the region in dialogue on the above issues and to discuss new programmatic and possible policy directions; To explore the potential for African academies of science to provide additional support to national policy formation in this area; and To support the general development of African academies of science.
