2 Dear Exhibitor The British Human Computer Interaction Conference (HCI2011) will be a large gathering of researchers working in academia, research institutes and industry. It will be held at Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK on 4th 8th July. The Conference, which includes two days of workshops on 4th 5th July, provides an important and valued opportunity for colleagues within all the research areas related to human computer interaction to update knowledge, share scientific expertise and network. Although primarily a UK meeting, the HCI2011 Conference will also attract delegates from Europe and the wider international community. The Programme Committee is putting together an exciting programme covering a wide range of topics of current importance in HCI but with a focus on the theme of Health, Wealth and Happiness. The Conference will have workshops, keynote speakers, themed sessions, as well as social events for interactions between participants. There will be presentations, posters, panel discussions and interactive demonstrations. The event will also include an enjoyable Conference Dinner at the Discovery Museum. 3 Conference & Delegates The Conference and associated demonstrations and exhibition will enable companies to meet and network with leaders in all fields of Human Computer Interaction. The exhibition and posters will be the focus of the area, where delegates will meet for refreshments, lunches, welcome reception and a poster evening, to view the posters and socialise. Many of the delegates are responsible for the purchase of laboratory equipment, software, consumables and publications. We anticipate attendance by approximately 250 delegates. Venue The talks will be held in the Students Union and Northumberland Building at Northumbria University, which is conveniently located for transport links (Haymarket Metro station can be reached directly from Newcastle Central Station or the Airport) and accommodation (for hotel booking please go directly to the HCI2011 hotel website www.hci2011.co.uk/accommodation). The venue has excellent facilities for the scientific sessions, poster displays and exhibitions.
4 Trade Exhibition The exhibition will be held in the main meeting area in the Students Union, a large flat-floored room with easy access for deliveries. All morning and afternoon refreshments will be served there. The posters are also displayed here, with timed poster viewing sessions. This will guarantee plenty of delegate time per day for visiting the trade exhibits. Cancellation & Refunds Cancellations and changes to space requirements MUST be notified in writing. Cancellations received by 30th April 2011 will be entitled to a full refund less 15% handling charge. No refunds will be given for cancellations notified after this date. 5 Sponsorship The British HCI conference offers a range of sponsorship opportunities to companies wishing to raise the profile of their products and organisations to meeting delegates. The benefits to sponsors will vary according to the level and type of support provided, but all will be acknowledged in the programme and on the HCI website. The following options are available. Title Sponsor 7,500 + VAT The title sponsor will have their company name and logo on all promotional literature, including the website, programme, conference stands and regular communications to more than 1,000 companies over a period of approximately five months. Sponsorship includes a large exhibition space in a prime position at the Conference and attendance at the Conference for two delegates. Conference Dinner Sponsor 5,000 + VAT The sponsor will have their company name and logo on any printed material or presentations used at the Conference Dinner on Thursday 7th July. Sponsorship includes a standard exhibition stand at the Conference and attendance at the Conference for two delegates. Conference Lunch 1,000 per day + VAT The sponsor will have their company name and logo on the programme, as well as the opportunity to have a display stand and to give out company material at the Conference lunch on either Wednesday 6th July or Thursday 7th July. Sponsorship includes attendance at the Conference for one delegate.
