The group sang in schools, hospitals, churches and auditoriums in various places throughout Thailand and was able to take in some of the significant sights of the country. Besides singing and playing music students shared testimonies in all these different settings as well as in concert halls. A moving story for many of the participants of the tour was when they sang in a patient's hospital room for a mother and her daughter. A family of ten from Mexico were in Thailand for their Christmas holidays, when an unfortunate tragic accident occurred. Four of the family were killed, two have been in the hospital since Christmas, and four were able to return home. The widowed mother was able to go to the concert in the evening, and was blessed by the healing music. Somehow arrangements were made for the Silhouettes to go into their room the following day to sing for the mother and her daughter who couldn t attend the concert due to the extent of her injuries. The mother s tears flowed as the group happened to sing her deceased husband s favorite song. Life has many very sad moments, but the healing power of sharing Jesus through music can have such a tremendous blessing on individuals. Participants of the tour also noted how expressive and devoted the Thai people are for their King and Queen and in the worship of Buddah. Very decorative billboards throughout the country had pictures of their royalty. Shrines were almost everywhere for people to stop and worship Buddah. It made some participants stop and consider their expression of appreciation and their worship of Jesus. It challenged some to be more open and expressive of their Jesus. We pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to bless those who attended the concerts as well as the participants of this tour. We praise God for the safety as they traveled the thousands of miles. We live in troubled times with terrorists attack in Brussels on the eve of their return trip home to the unusual storm and flooding in Dubai on the day they were to depart, we are thankful for their safe return. Thank you Mr. Flores for organizing this music mission trip. And a big thank you to Mrs. Leiterman and to numerous parents who volunteered their time to help supervise during this tour.
