KNOW BEFORE YOU GO Car Rental Grace Bay Car Rental is the preferred company of Casa Grande. For a couple reasons; they are competitively priced and most importantly, your car will be waiting at the airport upon arrival so no need to take a shuttle. Upon returning you drop the car back at the airport. They are always prompt with any service calls yet they rarely occur. Avis and Hertz are also available on the island. Keep in mind, cars drive on the left side of the road in Turks and Caicos. Phone: 649-941-8500 www.gracebaycarrentals.com Mention Casa Grande when making your reservation and you will receive a 10% discount on your rental. Taxi Service If you choose not to rent a car, taxi service is fast and very convenient on the island. You can budget an estimated $10 per person per trip. When leaving the airport you will tell the taxi driver you would like to go to Casa Grande on Lizard Lane off Lower Bight. It s between Turtle Cove Marina and the Aquamarine Beach Houses. Airport Greeting A representative of Casa Grande will meet you and your party at the airport. After clearing customs you will exit two double doors and go to your left. A representative will meet you at the end of the sidewalk. Provo is in the middle of renovating the airport. Please be patient and keep an eye out for your greeter. Bringing Food into Turks & Caicos You are allowed to bring meat and other consumables into the island as long as they are for personal use. There is no set limit on quantity. You must have it sealed completely. We suggest you check it in a cooler. Check with your airline for their regulations. SECURITY Security is simple. When you are not in your room, please lock the door as well as the outdoor shower doors. The doors are all equipped with touch keypad deadbolts. Casa Grande has a security system and is monitored by a security company. When you leave for dinner or an afternoon out, please make sure you lock all doors & set the alarm. Your representative will go over all codes and show you how to work the system upon checking in. Safes Each bedroom is equipped with a safe. Your own personal code can be programmed. IMPORTANT!!! The last guest will have their code programmed. Our property manager will show you how to program your own personal code. Avoid locking your safe before programming your new code. A master key will be provided to unlock the safes should you accidentally lock your safe without your new code or forget your code. casa grande turks & caicos islands
FOOD & BEVERAGES Grocery Service Wendy, our property manager is happy to arrange grocery shopping for you. It s such a nice treat to arrive and have the shopping all done. If you choose to do your own, we are excited to have a wonderful IGA Supermarket. We are confident you will find everything you need at the IGA, including wine, spirits and beer. They do take credit cards with an ID. Grace Bay also has a gourmet IGA for harder to find items. Wendy is happy to direct you to both stores. Casa Grande prefers to use The Wine Cellar on Leeward Highway very close to the house. They offer a great selection of wines, spirits and beer. Tell the owner, Jesus, your staying at Casa Grande and he will take excellent care of you! We would also like to remind you that liquor stores are closed on Sundays and no beer/wine sales on Sunday at IGA and liquor stores. Please keep this in mind when arriving on Saturday! Wendy is happy to stock the bar as well. All arrangements need to be made with her at least 7 days in advance & does include a small fee for this service. Chefs Private Chef Service can be arranged for you during your stay. Please contact Wendy, she will give you all the details and pricing. Chef service is available everyday for breakfast, lunch and dinner. COMMUNICATION Audio Casa Grande is a state of the art fully Automated House. We have built this system to be as user friendly as possible. For instance, in the master bedroom you will find multi-buttons on the wall. When it s time for bed, rather than going around the house turning off all the lights and locking the doors, you can simply touch one button for lights & one for locks. This will automatically turn the entire house off and lock all the doors. We have created audio playlists outside on the patio/pool. Directions are easy to follow. You are also welcome to plug in your own music in the family room that will stream to the patio/pool. Please be patient when pushing buttons, at times it may take a second or two for the music to load. Keep in mind the house is also programmed to turn off all major lights, TV s and music at 2AM. Don t be alarmed, if you are still up just press the buttons to turn the lights and music back on. TV Each bedroom is equipped with a flat panel TV along with a DVD player so that you may enjoy a movie from our extensive library of over 400 movie titles. There is a huge selection of children s movies as well. Internet Casa Grande has wireless Internet available throughout the villa. Your representative will give you log in information upon check in. Phone There is a house phone at the villa to use for your international calls. The house phone number is 817-400-0252 for people to reach you. A cell phone is provided, free of charge, for making island calls. www.tccasagrande.com
FUN AT THE VILLA Stand Up Paddle Boards & Kayaks Stand up Paddle Boards & Kayaks are available for your use. As you look out at the ocean, you will see a white break at the horizons edge. On the other side of this break, the ocean drops off to 6,000 feet! It s a long paddle out there and fun to do. Be careful once out there, the waves can be unforgiving and it s quite shallow with sharp coral. Life jackets are available under the stairs should you choose to take one with you. Please be mindful of the paddles for both kayaks and stand up paddleboards. They float away very easily and are very expensive to be replaced on the island. Your credit card will be charged for missing paddles. Snorkeling Casa Grande is fortunate to have some of the best snorkeling on Grace Bay right out our doorstep. We like to direct people down to Smiths Reef. We have plenty of masks/snorkels & fins for everyone. They are located in the pool equipment room across from bedroom 4. As you head out the back, take a left at the beach. As you look down the beach you will see the beach curves to the right to a point. Head to that point. Stop about 50 yards before that point and put in there. As you enter the water here, you will go out and the reef will start there then go to your left. Beach Towels We do provide Beach Towels at the villa. If you take them on your excursions, please do your best to return them to the villa. Bicycles A fun way to see the island is by bicycle! We have 4 adult bikes and 2 children bikes with helmets for everyone. We also have an infant seat that can easily be attached. Most major streets have sidewalks for safe riding. Don t forget they drive on the left side of the road.. so ride with caution! Board Games The villa has a large selection of board games to enjoy. From Monopoly to Dominos to Candy Land! We have something for everyone!
HOUSEKEEPING Upon arriving you will find Casa Grande exceptionally prepared. If you have any concerns please let us know upon arrival and we will do our best to correct them. We also provide a complimentary mid week cleaning for stays 7 days or longer. If you would like more service during the week, we are happy to arrange for a small fee. Electricity Casa Grande provides a substantial Electric Allowance of $400 to our guest per week. If conserved and not wasted, it s easy to stay within this allotment. If air conditioners are running 24hrs a day during your stay while windows and doors are left open, you will most likely incur an additional charge for exceeding your electric allowance. Water Water is a very precious commodity. We are very limited with fresh water sources on this island, so we respectfully ask that you do not waste water during exceptionally long showering. Refrigerators One common comment we often get is that the refrigerator is leaking water. Water will often pool on the shelves. This is the direct result of standing with the door open too long. Our air is very humid, letting all that warm Caribbean air in to the fridge turns to water once the door is closed and the air is cooled. In addition the refrigerators struggle to keep the inside chilly when opened and closed frequently. Ice We have an icemaker in the refrigerator as well as in a small under the counter wine cooler. We like to recommend getting bags of ice when at the grocery store. We find at times with large groups, the refrigerators have a tough time keeping up and it s easier to have a few bags on hand. Air Conditioners Our rooms are cooled quickly, so we would kindly request that when you are out of the rooms for the afternoon; please turn off the air conditioners. This will make staying within your electric budget easily attainable. www.tccasagrande.com
