RIVI CAMP 2017 Making memories last a lifetime.

Letter from your Camp Directors! Thank you for choosing The Riviera Club s Camp Rivi for your child s summer camp experience. We are looking forward to a fun and a safe summer. Our camp motto, Making memories last a lifetime means every day your child is at Rivi Camp, our goal is to make each day a memorable experience to last a lifetime. Campers will participate in various activities such as swim time, sports, crafts, and hikes while at the same time enhancing their knowledge and trying new things. Our first priority is always the safety and well being of your child. We have carefully selected our staff for their experience, energy, creativity, sensitivity and talent. We only hire the best. Counselors are properly trained to serve you and your camper. Rivi Camp has added and changed a few things to camp this year like more overnights, our schedule layout, location, clinics, shirts, and more! Attached in the following packet is everything you will need to get ready for your time at Rivi Camp. We are available to answer your questions and listen to your needs and concerns. Contact us at 317-255-5471 and ask for the Camp Directors, and/or send us an email at camps@rivi.org. We encourage you to follow the Riviera Club twitter account, @therivieraclub, as we will be tweeting throughout the week and updating you if there are any last minute changes. We look forward to a wonderful summer with your child! Henry S. Semler Camp Director Erin J. Nowlin Camp Director

Meet Your Camp Directors Meet Erin Nowlin My name is Erin Nowlin, I was born in a small town in Missouri and moved to Indianapolis in 2014 when marrying my high school sweetheart. I graduated from Hannibal La- Grange University with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education in 2016. As a freshman in college I played softball. I went to summer camps for four years and one of my favorite memories was signing my name in the sleeping bunk after the week was over. My hobbies include traveling, baking, fishing, and spending time with friends and family. While not working at camp, I work at Carmel Clay Elementary School and coach the 8th grade softball team. My goal for this summer is to leave a happy lasting impression on a child s life. Meet Henry Semler My name is Henry Semler. Family is a big part of my life. I am the oldest of four children and have big extended families on both sides with an average of 60 members each. I graduated from IHM in 2012 and from Bishop Chatard High School in 2016. I am currently studying management with a minor in accounting at the Krannert School of Management, Purdue University. I grew up going to camps since I was 10 and went to Camp Tecumseh every summer until my sophomore year in high school. During my first year at Camp Tecumseh when I was 10, my cabin along with another, pranked each other the whole the week! It was so fun and my favorite camp experience. Some of my oldest friends came from that week at camp. My hobbies include being an avid fan of everything Disney and spending time with friends and family. My goal for the summer is to take camp to new heights with more overnights, week long games, and fostering new ideas with campers.

Camp Updates Overnight Camps The addition of two overnight camps! Overnights happen during Weeks 3, 5, and 8. Campers in the Blazers, Voyagers, and Navigggg gg gators are encouraged to spend the night on Friday with their fellow campers and counselors for fun and games surrounding the weeks themes. Registration for all overnights are open during the week of the overnight. Clinics Clinics have been added to the daily schedule and will allow campers to try brand new things. Weekly clinics are available through our newsletter and twitter account, @therivieraclub. Rivi Camp s clinics range from crafts, to sports, to visual arts, to performing arts. Campers sign up when they arrive to Rivi Camp on Monday by ordering by their choice from 1,2,3. Some clinics will have limited space, so only 1 clinic per week. Clinics run Tuesdays through Friday Shirts Campers receive one Unit Shirt free! We will be distributing shirts on Thursdays and encourage campers to wear them on Fridays.
