History In 1999, a few friends who d cut their teeth in Seattle s vibrant do-things scene rehabbed an old fisherman hotel, a friendly place where their musician and artist friends could feel at home on the road. Honesty of materials, working with artists and friends we love, trusting each other to pour our souls into the work we re passionate about these are the values behind everything we ve done and will ever do. So far, it has led us from Seattle to Portland, Palm Springs, New York City, London, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and now our home in New Orleans. 2

Building & Neighborhood Ace Hotel New Orleans sits on the corner of Carondelet and Lafayette streets in the Warehouse District of one of the best cities on Earth. The feel of weft and warp woven together by countless anthropologies and creation stories far too vast for any single person to own. So it belongs to the whole city. We re close to up-and-coming art galleries and shopping, museums, cocktails and just a jaunt to the classics of the French Quarter and the modernity of the burgeoning South Market District, a stone s throw to many of New Orleans best gems like the Sports and Arts Districts, and just a bike ride to the lively Bywater and Marigny neighborhoods, as well as mystical nooks and corners you can explore on your own. The city has an expansive soul that is palpable, selfassured in a way that sustains hope and grit and sadness at once. We re still new, but we love calling NOLA home. 5

Dining & Drink Food is the only art you eat. We re working with partners and pals Andy Ticer and Michael Hudman of Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen, as well as Hog & Hominy in Memphis, just up the river. Using the pillars that have made Italian fare s reputation indomitable: use fresh, local, beautiful ingredients and let them sing. We ve got an extensive minibar with cocktail recipes and the tools to make them. There s a rooftop pool and bar and a cocktail program with a fun-level to match it. Our faithful friends at Stumptown Coffee Roasters are bringing their first cafe to the south in NOLA. Sourcing the best coffees the world-wide, expertly roasted, brewed to make life shimmer. American indulgence. 13
