On this itinerary you will have the chance to experience everything that this magical place has to offer plus enjoy three of the finest Michelin Star restaurants it Italy whilst cruising in comfort aboard OMBRE BLU.
Gulf of Naples The Gulf of Naples is located in the Campania Region of southwestern Italy. It is fronted by the city of Naples, Mount Vesuvius and the Roman ruins of Pompei and Herculaneum (both completely destroyed by an eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D.). To the south, the gulf is lined by the beautiful Sorrentine Penisnula and the cliff-top town of Sorrento. To the west, are the breathtaking islands of Capri, Ischia and Procida. With OMBRE BLU, you will have the opportunity to swim in warm thermal waters and caves, explore quaint villages, shop in trendy boutiques and enjoy some of the finest gastronomy in Italy, or just relax and enjoy the sun.
Sorrento Our base in Sorrento is the perfect place to start and finish this magnificent itinerary. It is also just a few minutes away (with our private driver) from the small town of Vico Equense, home to the restaurant 'La Torre del Saracino' run by Gennaro Esposito (two star Michelin). Your senses will be treated to the flavors of his degustation menu. A steep set of stairs lead to the center of this cliff-top town. One can make the journey by foot or by car. There are many historic buildings, parks and artesian shops to enjoy. From Sorrento it is also possible to tour with OMBRE BLU's private driver to Pompei, Herculaneum or Mount Vesuvius. From Sorrento we will depart to explore the coastline of the Sorrentine Peninsula.
Capri SAILING Incomparable scenery, the mix of nature, art, culture and jet-set society, make this the most dreamed of and celebrated island in Italy. Wind your way up the beautiful stairway or take the cable car to the main village. Sip on an aperitivo and watch the world go by. Enjoy our open-top car tour of the island with Costanzo, our local driver. Shop and find everything you desire. It's time to re-join OMBRE BLU and kayak through the famous Faraglioni. Capri has something for everyone There are lots of activities to enjoy ~ swimming, snorkeling and diving or just relax and enjoy the sun.
Ischia Ischia is the largest island in the group and is famous for its therapeutic thermal waters and spa treatments. Once in the Port of Ischia, you will discover the magnificent Aragonese Castle and many wonderful shops. In the evening, you will dine in the two star Michelin restaurant 'Il Mosaico' and witness their stunning food art during your degustation menu. Why not enjoy a spa treatment before dinner? Il Mosaico is located in the five star Terme Manzi Hotel & Spa, the finest spa in Ischia! On day two in Ischia our local driver will drive you through the countryside to visit the awardwinning Cenatiempo winery, where a special treat is in store for you. OMBRE BLU will be waiting at anchor by the quaint fisherman's village of Sant'Angelo.
Procida Situated just a couple of miles from Ischia is the magical island of Procida. Procida is the smallest island of the group and it has managed to retain its un-altered Mediterranean identity, which makes a great contrast to the more developed Capri and Ischia. This is a fantastic opportunity to take your firstever scuba dive, as the waters surrounding are shallow and clear. You have the freedom to enjoy activities ashore or choose the comfort of your private yacht OMBRE BLU at anchor.
Positano The Amalfi Coast is renowned throughout the world for the unique beauty of its landscapes. Twisting roads winding through rocky cliffs reveal tantalizing glimpses of small villages, secluded bays and inlets, all looking out over a clear blue sea. Lush green Mediterranean flora colors the slopes of the surrounding hills and cliffs. Positano is like a waterfall of multicolored houses flowing down to the sea. It's labyrinth of alleys are a mix of art, culture and shopping.
Amalfi & Ravello SAILING Set in a steep and rocky seaside valley, Amalfi boasts a picturesque harbor which is located only a few steps from the centre of town. You will have the opportunity to explore historic buildings and the narrow alleyways surrounding the wonderful Cathedral of St Andrew. From Amalfi, you can also visit Ravello - a breathtaking town situated high above in the hills. Our private driver will be ready to take you, unless you want to conquer the one thousand five hundred steps to the top! After all of these activities, you will be ready dine at Amalfi's top restaurant 'La Caravella' run by our good friend Antonio. La Caravella was the first Michelin star restaurant on the Amalfi Coast, awarded this honor in the 60's and is also renowned for its art and ceramic gallery.
