New 2014 2018 Strategic Plan The Authority completed a new 2014-18 Strategic Plan. Our Vision: The Aviation Hub of Choice connecting people and prosperity PRINCIPLES AGILE COLLABORATIVE OWNERSHIP PASSIONATE MINDFUL

Safety First We achieved a 97% result on a comprehensive external corporate safety audit.

Safety First We acquired two state-of-the-art Emergency Response vehicles, completed the associated operator training and successfully completed response time trials to new Runway 17L-35R

Safety First The Calgary Airport Authority was recognized for its Automated External Defibrillation ( AED ) program with a citizen s recognition award after on-site EMS staff used one of YYC s twenty-five AEDs to save the life of a passenger.

Runway Development Project Accelerated construction program in 2013 Major activation and operational readiness preparations Final construction completion by May 2014

Airport Operations & Development A very complex project, the re-numbering of the YBW and YYC airfields was flawlessly executed and resulted in new runways 17R-35L, 11-29 and 08-26

Airport Operations & Development A new Aircraft Visual Docking and Guidance System was installed at the bridgeheads to allow aircraft to dock and unload passengers without ground crews.

Airport Operations & Development We acquired a new fleet of Sno-Mauler winter maintenance equipment and successfully integrated those into our airfield winter storm response procedures

Airport Operations & Development New WestJet Encore Facility Airfield Maintenance Facility Re-Development is underway

Nonstop service to 75 cities

YYC is both a major hub and the corporate HQ for 100 aircraft; 10,000 staff YYC chosen as new Encore head office and Q400 maintenance base Recent announcement on wide-body strategy

YYC is also a major Air Canada hub Recent Announcement Air Canada will upgrade to B777 (349 seats) on London & Frankfurt in 2014 + 28,000 seats/year + 60 tons cargo/flight
