Tyumen region Tyumen region is one of the most successfully developing regions of Russia. Moscow Tyumen Tyumen region is the most important link between eastern and western parts of Russia. 2
Tyumen region According to the Ministry of Regional Development and the Center for Economic Research, among all 83 regions of the Russian Federation Tyumen region takes: 1 st place in the ranking of family income and employment; 1 st place in the rating of investment attractiveness; 2 nd place in the rating of the effectiveness of the regional government; 2 nd place in the rating of human development index; 2 nd place in housing construction per capita. 3

Tyumen region transport center of Russia There is an international airport Roschino in Tyumen, which will be reconstructed and significantly enlarged in the nearest future. Trans-Siberian Railway and federal highways pass through the territory of the Tyumen region. The pipeline transport, air and waterriver services are well-developed. Rivers with port infrastructure provide access to the North Sea Route. 6

Industrial potential Industrial complex is the main driver of the economy. Petrochemical industry, oil service, oil production and oil refining play key role. At the same time mechanical engineering, agriculture, timber industry are well developed. 9

Sport infrastructure Stadium «Geolog» Biathlon center of A. Tikhonov, Uvat Regional center of winter sports «Pearl of Judo Olympic training center Siberia» Range of new sport buildings will appear in the Tyumen region soon. 14
Sport events Sport events are hold annually on a national level In the regional center of winter sports «Pearl of Siberia» and in Uvat biathlon center. These events are Cross-country Skiing Championship and Biathlon Championship. Russian Biathlon Union proposed to hold Biathlon World Championship 2017 in «Pearl of Siberia». Center has got a license category «A» of the International Biathlon Union, which gives rights to hold high level contests. In 2011 Tyumen hold Judo World Championship. 15
