SeaWorld San Diego is proud to announce the birth of a female baby killer whale, the seventh successful killer whale birth in the park s 50-year history. Mother Kalia gave birth at Shamu Stadium under the watchful eyes of the SeaWorld zoological team members on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014. Be sure to stop by Shamu Stadium to catch a glimpse of the newest member of our killer whale family! Sea Otter Rescue SeaWorld has rescued a baby California sea otter. The stranded pup was found on Sept. 15, alone with no mom in sight and was estimated to be about a day old, and weighed just 2.75 pounds. SeaWorld animal care specialists report that the pup is healthy, active, learning to groom herself and steadily gaining weight. She currently resides in the nursery at Otter Outlook, be sure to stop and check on her progress on your next visit! 3 FREE Single-Day Companion Tickets!
