Corporate History Heathgate Resources is an affiliate of General Atomics (GA), which was formed in 1955 to explore peaceful uses of the atom. GA s basic research into fission and fusion has matured into competence in many technologies, as well as Heathgate s mining and exploration activities. How Our In-situ Recovery (ISR) Mine Works 7 The ISR Mining Process 1) Groundwater pumped to surface (at start-up) 2) Small amount of acid and oxidant added 3) Water pumped back into aquifer 4) Uranium dissolved 5) Water pumped to surface 6) Uranium recovered by ion exchange (IX) 7) Water recycled (back to 2)
Well fields The wellfields are the mine of an ISR process Water wells are installed in patterns of injection and extraction Wellhouses (right) distribute fluid to and collect from wells from which uranium is extracted Fluid is pumped to and from wellhouses and the plant via trunk lines (below right) 8
Processing Plant The plant is divided into four main sections Capture a series of ion exchange columns capture the resin Recovery involves washing the uranium from the resin Precipitation Uranium is turned into solid yellowcake Drier The yellowcake is passed through thickeners, dried and packed into 200 L drums 9

Camp Rules Summary It is prohibited to bring in Alcohol or illegal drugs Alcohol available from canteen for limited hours and quantities 6 drink limit Smoking in designated areas only No work clothes in mess or camp Unless on specific duties with clean uniform No displaying of sexually explicit material Camp fires prohibited No loud noises after 10 pm or 10 am (for sleeping night shift workers) Work clothes washed at work, casual clothes washed at camp Full list of rules in each room 11
Camp Housekeeping On the morning of your departure please bundle bedding & towels and leave on the veranda floor outside your room before breakfast Place all rubbish in bins provided No cutlery/dishes to be taken from mess area No smoking in rooms / in designated areas only Leave room neat and tidy 12
Vehicles Unless approved, no after hours use of work vehicles Adhere to speed limits strictly - penalties apply Park in designated areas only. Drive through parking system in place (no reversing) Seat belts must be worn in all vehicles at all times by all drivers and passengers Deviation from marked roads will result in disciplinary action DO NOT drive over gas pipeline except at official crossings 14
Canteen Canteen hours are strictly 06:00 to 08:00 (night shift; alcohol 07:00 to 08:00) and 18:00 to 21:30 (day shift) Alcohol to be consumed within the camp areas only ID is required for purchase of alcohol Only person18 years or older can consume alcohol Limit of 6 alcoholic drinks per person per day Alcohol will be opened on purchase Drunken, unruly, unwanted sexual advances and offensive behaviour including brawling, fighting or abusive language will not be tolerated and disciplinary action will be taken 13

Hours Of Work Heathgate and labour hire employees Day shift 07:00 to 19:00 Night shift 19:00 to 07:00 ½ hour meal break (unpaid) 2 tea breaks Check with supervisor for break times Occasionally weather and daylight hours may change hours of work, or fitting in with contractors Contractors are to see their supervisor regarding their shift and meal times 17
Transport From Camp To Work Supervisors are responsible for company vehicles others must have supervisor or manager approval to use company vehicles Getting to and from the mine and camp is on foot or via the bus. Bus times are posted at the camp and the plant. As with all vehicles, seatbelts must be worn in the bus at all times Additional trips on the bus are scheduled to meet all aircraft 18
Plant Housekeeping People that work inside the plant within the processing or in the active well fields are required to shower after work Male and female change rooms have a clean and dirty entry point. When arriving at work, enter through the clean entry point, change into clean work clothing and exit. When leaving work enter through dirty entry, remove dirty work clothes, place in wash, shower and change, then depart through clean entry
