L a Post e M ews is a relaxed, newly refurbished house set in the quiet village of Mauzac-et-Grand- Castang on the banks of the Dordogne River, 25 kilometres from Bergerac. A large family friendly house with pool, garden and mooring on the river. The doors from the kitchen lead onto the pa t i o g a r d e n and to the f e n c e d p o o l. Have fun on the water either in the pool or on the River. Private mooring outside the property can be arranged, though boat hire is not included in the rental rates. The famous town of Bergerac is ideal for sightseeing, shopping and dining out.

Places of Interest There are many Chateaux nearby such as de Biron, de Cadouin and de Monpazier which are medieval sites rich in architectural and historic heritage. Grotte de Domme is the largest natural grotto in Perigord Noir underneath the XV11th town hall in Domme. Les Jardins d Eau are water gardens situated 8km from Sarlat. La Roque Gageac is a magnificent and beautiful village in the rock cliffs where you can go on river trips, canoeing and hot air balloon rides. In the stunning village of Beynac you can take an excursion on a gabarre (19th century boat) to see the spectacular site of Beynac castle on the cliff 150 metres above. Nearby there is also the Musee Napoleon en Pergord situated in the manor house La Pommerie where you will see more than 150 objects on display. Castle of Castelnaud Family Attractions Children can enjoy many attractions nearby such as the Aquarium in Le Bugue with over 6000 fish to see. Lac de Gurson is the nearest lake with beach complex approximately 45 minutes from Mauzac. It is a wooded area of 63 hectares where you may fish, it has a water slide, horse riding and pedalos. There are also adventure parks, a go karting track and quad biking a short distance away. Market day in Sarlat-la-Caneda Rates To obtain a reservation, a completed and signed booking form is required together with the initial non-refundable deposit (1/3 of the total rent due). A security deposit of 300 will also be required to cover the cost of any breakages or damage to the property during your stay. This will be returned to you if everything is satisfactory when you leave. The balance of the rent together with the security deposit is payable six weeks before the start of the rental period. You ll enjoy your stay The house is on the water front of the Dordogne in a small village which has a local shop, post office, locals bar & restaurant. The market town of Lalinde is 5 minutes by car or a cycle ride along the tow path and has a good supermarket & selection of other r i v e r d o r g o n e at home and dinner delivered to you. There are many attractions in the area for all the family from water-skiing and canoeing to adventure parks and aqua parks many Chateau s and the picturesque villages of Beynac, Domme, Sarlat and the town of Bergerac. Saint- shops plus market day every Thursday. Tremolat (8km) is a pretty village with many amenities and a good boulangerie plus a great Pizzeria and Bistro. You will also find a good selection of restaurants Meard-de-Gurcon is a pleasant drive of approximately 45 minutes where you will find the nearest lakeside beach, pedalos, waterslide and horse-riding. Local activities also include; mountain in the rural villages of St Marcel, Paunat biking, swimming, tennis, walking, also Lalinde, Cadouin, Mouleydier. There is also a local service available of dining sailing, cycling, fishing, horse riding, golf and water skiing.
