LANZHOU CITY is situated in the northwest of China with the Huagnhe River (known as the Chinese people s mother river for the Chinese civilization originated from its reaches) running through its center. Lanzhou has a long history and splendid culture. In ancient time it was an important fort along the well-known Silk Road where the eastern and western cultures exchanged and mingled. There are lots of cultural and natural sites waiting you to visit and enjoy. DUNHUANG MOGAO GROTTOES is one of the cultural heritages listed by UNESCO. Lying on the Silk Road, it is known for its lots of colorful frescoes and statues, which record the history that Buddhism came into ancient China and gradually mingled into the Chinese culture and the life of ancient Chinese people. During the process of the congress, we will organize you to visit it. JIAYUGUAN CASTLE - Jiayuguan Tower is situated in Jiayuguan City of Gansu Province and on the Silk Road. Surrounded by mountains, it was a very important military fort. As the west end of the Great Wall, it is well known for its majesty and honored as the most majestic tower of the Great Wall. THE QILIAN MOUNTAIN is a marginal mountain of the Qinghai-Tibet Platean with the east-west length 800km, the south-north length 200-400km, the height above sea level 4000-6000m and the total area 2062km 2. The typical sights of the mountain are glaciers with the most famous one being the Qiyi glacier. We can overlook the grand snow-capped mountains at Xiaheqing Farm.
