Commercial Burglaries: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information 11/20/2016 8:08am 21000 W Eight Mile Rd. (Commercial Business) Broke out window to shop area, than removed AC Unit to gain entry to the office area. R/P for business advises the business had an alarm tripped on Saturday 11-19-2016 at 7:19pm. Alarm Co. sent a guard to the location to inspect the property. Security Guard advised everything appeared ok however a door on the n/w office was found open. Guard assumed it was blown open by the wind. Officers discovered that the suspect broke out a window and gained access into the shop area which is not alarmed. Suspect removed air conditioning unit to gain access to the office area. Suspect stole a Laptop and fled the scene. Surveillance video shows suspect was wearing some type of leather jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, and black shoes. Home Invasion: Date/Time Address (block range) Method of Entry Description/Suspect Information From: 11/14/2016 10:30pm To: 11/14/2016 11:55pm 28000 Marshall St. Entry through unlocked rear bedroom window. Victim states sometime between 10:30pm- 11:55pm someone entered his residence and took two TV s. The home was ransacked. R/P stated he met a subject on the internet two nights ago and had him over at his house. The subject texted him several times asking him when he was coming home and that he missed him. Victim thinks this subject unlocked the window when he was at his house and came back and committed Home Invasion. 11/15/2016 5:37pm 15000 W Eleven Mile Rd. (Apartments) Entry through unlocked bedroom window. Victim states that approximately one week ago she placed her Dark Brown Jacket in her closet. On 11/15/2016, at approx. 5:30pm she was cleaning out her master bedroom closet and noticed that the jacket was missing. Victim then noticed that the master bedroom window was unlocked and that the exterior screen was not secure. 11/18/2016 2:32pm 25000 Grodan Dr. (Apartments) Entry was through an open door wall. Officers responded to a possible B&E in progress. Officers arrived on scene and spoke to a female that claimed to be the fiancé of the lessee of the apartment. The brother of the lessee was also on scene and was on the phone with lessee. Lessee advises that he has no idea who the woman was in her apartment and he didn t give her permission to be in his apartment. Lessee later showed up on scene and confirmed he didn t know who the woman was. Further investigation revealed that the female may some mental health issues. It appears she found the apartment door wall open and just made herself at home in the apartment and fabricated the whole story about lessee being her fiancé. At this time the female was arrested for Home Invasion. Victim states that if the female is truly suffering from any mental illness he didn t wish to prosecute.

11/19/2016 1:33pm 24000 Lee Baker Dr. Window was opened in rear of residence. Officers were dispatched to the 24000 Block of Lee Baker on reports of a possible Home Invasion in progress. Dispatch advised that a White Chevy Silverado was in the driveway with a possible suspect still inside. R/P was in the driveway blocking the suspect vehicle with her car. Upon arrival Officers checked the Silverado and determined that no one was inside the vehicle. Officers located an open window in the rear of the home. Officers set up a perimeter. The interior of the home checked negative for any suspects. A Southfield Police K-9 conducted a track with negative results. A LEIN inquiry of the suspect vehicle showed that it registered to a subject in a neighboring community. There was also a young man licensed at that address that matched the description of a possible suspect. Officers met with Officers from from neighboring community and checked the residence where the vehicle registered to. The suspect was not located. The suspect later turned himself into the neighboring community PD and he was later turned over to Southfield PD. It was also later learned that there was a second suspect involved in this incident. The second suspect has been identified.

11/19/2016 11:32pm 26000 Summerdale Dr. (Condo s) Door wall was smashed out. Officers responded to Home Invasion in progress. Victim reports three subjects, all known to her are attempting entry through door wall. Victim states one of the subjects wants to have a relationship with her but she just wants to be friends. Victim s current boyfriend is at the residence and the two have locked themselves into a bedroom on the second floor. The suspects have gained entry into the residence and have forced open the bedroom door as well. The suspect that wants to have a relationship with victim assaulted female and her boyfriend. The suspects were all gone when Officers arrived on scene. The suspects fled in a Black Dodge Caravan. All of the suspects have been identified and incident is under investigation.

11/20/2016 11:48am 29000 Murray Crescent Window was broken out on garage door. Neighbors reported door open at residence. Officers discovered good Home Invasion. Several appliances were taken including refrigerator, stove, microwave & dishwasher. Home is vacant and for sale. R/P states the home was shown by a Realtor on 11-17- 16 and it appears the alarm for the home was not set after securing the home. Note: On 11/18/2016 at approximately 1:56am, Officers were dispatched to same residence regarding an open door. Officers discovered the front door to be missing, with the screen door open. Inside the residence the kitchen cabinets were ripped out of the wall, and on the floor. The garage door was open, and one of the windows on the door was shattered. Automobile Thefts: Date/Time Address (block range) Year, Make, Model Details 11/14/2016 1:11pm 29000 Pierce St. Status A Attempt Stolen Manufacturer CHRYSLER Model CONCORDE Color Vehicle Year 2004 Notes Ignition Removed Vehicle was parked in the driveway. Vehicle was attacked between 7:00pm and the following morning at 11:00am. Vehicle's door locks are broken so suspect was able to enter the vehicle without damage. Suspect removed the ignition in an attempt to steal the vehicle. Suspect was not able to start the vehicle. From: 11/15/2016 12:30am To: 11/15/2016 9:00am 20000 Melrose St. Status S - Stolen Manufacturer BUICK Model ENCLAVE Color GRY - Gray Vehicle Year 2011 Body Style State MI License Year Description SUV Victim stated her vehicle was stolen on Tuesday November 15, 2016 sometime between 12:30am & 9:00am. It is unknown how entry was gained.

From: 11/14/2016 6:30pm To: 11/15/2016 10:38am 28000 Franklin Rd (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model FUSION Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2015 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI Description Black On Black Ford Fusion Victim states sometime between 6:30pm and the following morning at 10:38am someone stole her vehicle. Victim believes a guy she dated a couple times may have stolen the car. This is the second time the vehicle has been stolen and she suspects the guy she dated took the vehicle the first time as well. Victim states on the first theft suspect was in her apartment and a couple days later she noticed her spare key missing from the kitchen area. Victim broke off the dating and her car was stolen. Two days later suspect told her he knows people that might be able to help her find her car. Suspect tells her he found the car and "they" want $$$ to get it back. Victim stated she went with suspect to an area in Detroit and her car was there without any damages. Later when victim still would not date suspect her tires got slashed in her parking lot. She also reported this to Southfield PD. On 11-2-2016 victim got a Text from suspect saying "I m going to need you to start paying me back the money you owe me ". >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Citizens should be aware that this Extortion or Larceny by Conversion. (Commercial- Rental) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer Ford Model E450 Color WHI - White Vehicle Year Body Style TK - Truck State Arizona License Year 2017 Description 15 FT CUBE TRUCK R/P manager from Rental Business advises they discovered one of their trucks was taken overnight. R/P reviewed surveillance video and observed the truck leaving their lot at 10:55pm. A possible Tan Sedan was observed pulling into business next door just prior to the theft. Possibly related. 11/16/2016 9:45pm 27000 Northwestern Hwy. (Hotel) Status R Recovered Stolen Manufacturer FORD Model TAURUS Color GLD - Gold Vehicle Year 2001 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2016 Description 2001 Ford Taurus, Gold Officers discovered vehicle parked at Hotel. Lein check on vehicle revealed that it was reported stolen out of another jurisdiction. The plate was improper as well, registers on a 2012 Jeep. Investigation revealed that the vehicle had been taken by victim s boyfriend. Officers located the boyfriend at the hotel and he advised his girlfriend signed over the title to him and the paperwork is in the glove box. Officers located the paperwork and it did appear that the title was signed over to boyfriend. The vehicle was impounded and a 5 day hold was put on the vehicle to verify ownership and reporting jurisdiction could complete their investigation. The other jurisdiction later advised out Department that the vehicle could be released to the owner. The female that reported car stolen came to our records bureau to get her car back. Southfield Detective interviewed female and she

made admissions that she had signed over the title to her boyfriend. She was advised that the boyfriend was then the rightful owner of the vehicle and he would have to come get the vehicle. The boyfriend was contacted and advised to come in and get his vehicle. He declined?

11/14/2016 8:00pm 20000 Lahser Rd. (Apartments) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer FORD Color BLU - Blue Vehicle Year 2001 Body Style State MI Description 01 Taurus Victim states he met a male friend in Detroit a few weeks ago. Victim doesn t know his name but they have been dating. The friend came over and asked to borrow his vehicle to go to the store for about an hour. Victim gave the friend permission to take vehicle. His friend never returned the vehicle and he hasn t been able to make contact with the unknown subject. (Commercial- Business) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer GMC Model YUKON Color WHI - White Vehicle Year 2006 Body Style 4D - 4 Door State MI License Year 2017 Description 2006 White GMC Yukon Victim states sometime between 3:00pm- 4:30pm someone stole his 2006 GMC Yukon. The vehicle was parked at the Office Building on the N/W corner of 9 Mile & Greenfield Rd. Inside the vehicle were a laptop, 3 jackets, passport, birth certificate, social security card, and a book bag with a pool stick inside. (Commercial Office) Status I Attempt Stolen Manufacturer SATURN Model AURA Color Vehicle Year 2007 Body Style State MI Description ATTEMPTED UDAA Victim states on Thursday 11/17/2016 sometime between 8:00am- 4:00pm someone punched out the driver s door lock on her 2007 Saturn. Victim doesn t believe entry was made into the vehicle but she believes it was an attempt to take the vehicle.

(Location of recovery) Status I Recovered Stolen Manufacturer PONTIAC Model GRAND AM Color BLK - Black Vehicle Year 2000 Body Style State MI Description 2000 GRAND AM Victim states his daughter gave the vehicle away in a drug deal. Victim was able to track the vehicle down in Detroit. He recovered the vehicle and drove it to his business in Southfield. The vehicle was reported stolen in another jurisdiction. Officer recovered the vehicle and sent an administrative message to jurisdiction regarding the recovery and to remove it from LEIN. From: 11/17/2016 4:00pm To: 11/18/2016 11:00am 24000 Cashmere Ct. (Condo s) Status S - Stolen Manufacturer CHEVROLET Model TAHOE Color BGE - Beige Vehicle Year 2003 Body Style State MI License Year 2017 Description 2003 CHEVY TAHOE Victim came in to the front desk and reported his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe had been stolen. Victim locked and left his vehicle in the carport at his Condo Complex at approx. 4:00pm and returned to find his vehicle stolen the following morning at 11:00am.

The ignition had been torn apart and damaged to the point it is now unusable. The glove box & center console had also been gone through.

When she went inside one of the subjects tried to talk to her (distraction), but she kept going. She did not lock her vehicle. She describes the driver as a B/M 30-35 years old and the passenger a B/M 30-35 years old, 5'-7-5'- 8, and 200 lbs.

From: 11/14/2016 7:00pm To: 11/15/2016 8:50am 25000 W Twelve Mile Center console was taken from victims 2009 Chevy Impala. Victim states the center console was stolen out of his vehicle sometime between7:00pm & and the following morning at 8:50am. No suspect information. Entry was gained by punching the driver s door lock. 11/15/2016 8:20am 24000 Lahser Rd. (School- Facilities Maintenance 6- Landscape Tools Were Removed From Trailer... 3- Blowers, 2- Weed Whips, 1- Edger. R/P is employed by Landscape Company whom is a subcontractor responsible for lawn services for Public Schools. Sometime overnight someone removed lock from trailer and stole several Landscaping tools. A set of small bolt cutters were recovered from the scene but the lock was not left at scene. It s believed that the bolt cutters recovered would not be sufficient to cutting the type of lock that was on the trailer. It s believed that the incident was staged, possibly by employee(s) to look like a theft. Employees do have the combination to the lock and it is unusual and suspicious that no part of the lock was left or recovered from the scene.

Four vehicles in all were attacked. 3)-2015 Ford Edge- Gone through & ransacked 4)-Newer GMC Terrain- Gone through & ransacked 11/15/2016 10:01pm 16000 North Park Dr. (Apartments) 1)-2017 Cadillac Escalade Attempted to take In-Dash Navigation System 2)-2016 Ford Explorer Ransacked, nothing taken. 3)-Chevy Suburban LTZ Ransacked, attempted to take In-Dash Navigation System. Multiple vehicles had their windows broken out. The vehicles were ransacked and gone through. All of the vehicles were parked at the Apartment Complex. All the incidents occurred on Tuesday evening sometime between 9:00pm- 10:00pm. Four vehicles in all were attacked. 4)-Mercedes Benz Splinter Ransacked, nothing taken.

11/16/2016 8:30am 28000 Telegraph Rd. (Commercial- Car Wash) Cash was taken from victims 2015 Ford Pick Up. Victim states prior to getting out of his car he put an undisclosed amount of cash under a rubber mat in his center console. After his vehicle went through the car wash he immediately checked to make sure his money was still there and it was gone. Employees were questioned and both denied taking the money. Surveillance video was looked over and there was nothing to confirm who took the money. Victim states sometime between 3:00pm and the following morning at 8:45am someone broke out window on vehicle went through the vehicle and took one pair of Sunglasses. 11/17/2016 1:25am 20000 Oldham Rd. (Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2016 Dodge Charger. R/P (Security Guard) for Apartment Complex advises he makes his rounds through the complex. He was notified of this incident by a W/M driving a White Pickup Truck with Blue Letters around 1:25am. The male was by himself and looked to be heavy set with a goatee, mustache and beard. R/P did not get the male's name. R/P called 911 around 1:40am. The Charger was parked under a car port in an unlit area. The Charger is not visible from the registered owner's apartment building. All four of the tires/rims were stolen and the lug nuts to secure the tires were on the ground.

R/P (Security for Hotel) states he makes his rounds through the parking lot. The two attacked Ford Explorers were fully intact earlier. While making his rounds at 4:15am he discovered All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken from both Ford Explorers. R/P called the police shortly after noticing the incidents. Victim states sometime between 1:00am- 7:10am someone broke out window on vehicle and took several Airsoft Equipment items from the back trunk area of the vehicle.

11/17/2016 4:34am 18000 Midway Ave. All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2007 Chevy Avalanche. Officers were dispatched to location on report of two suspicious vans in the area. Several unknown subjects exited the vehicles and began walking around the attacked vehicle. The vehicles left the area prior to Officers arrival. A Red Chevrolet Avalanche was discovered on cinder blocks in the driveway. All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken.

Victim states he parked his 2017 Cadillac XTS (rental vehicle) at the Hotel. He parked the vehicle in the N/W Parking Lot, near Beck Road at 9:30pm. The following morning at 9:00am victim discovered All Four Wheels & Tires had been taken from the vehicle.

11/18/2016 6:22pm 28000 Franklin Rd. (Apartments) All Four Wheels & Tires were taken from 2011 Ford Edge. Victim states that he parked his vehicle in the N/W side of the lot (Apartments) at approx. 9:00am on 11/17/2016. Victim came back to the vehicle at 6:00pm on 11/18/2016 to find his Wheels & Tires missing and called police.

11/18/2016 2:43pm 20000 Town Center (Commercial Office) Attempt to take All Four Wheels & Tires from 2016 Dodge Durango. Victim states she came into the parking garage at Office Center and parked her vehicle at approx. 8:00am. Victim came back to her vehicle that was parked in the parking structure on level 3 @ 11:00am and got into the vehicle to go get lunch. She reversed her vehicle and heard a loud bang. Victim stepped out of the vehicle and noticed that all of the lug nuts from her wheels had been removed and the wheels & tires were falling off of the vehicle.

11/18/2016 11:47am 19000 Melrose Ave Cordless drill battery, Cordless saw battery, Cordless hammer drill, 2- Pool sticks were taken from victims 1998 Chevy Suburban. Victim parked his 1998 Black Chevrolet Suburban in the backyard of his residence. The vehicle was not locked. On 11/19/2016 at approx.10:00am victim discovered items were missing from the vehicle. Surveillance video shows an unknown male, approx. 5'-6, 150 lbs., wearing a white hoodie with a green shirt underneath, black pants, and black shoes. Officers dispatched to the 23000 Block of Grayson on a report of 2 subjects running north from location after hearing gunshots. Officer s arrived to find a female victim who stated that she was arriving home from work when two unknown males wearing hoodies came into her garage and dragged her out of her vehicle. The subject with the handgun struck her in the head several times and took her purse. Both subjects fled north through the complex. Victim does not recognize the subjects. No gunshots were fired. Area check was conducted with negative results. Victim was taken to hospital for treatment. Both male suspects were wearing ski masks and dark hoodies. Victim could not tell what they looked like. Officers responded to the 17000 Block of Northland Park Ct. on a report of gunshots in the parking lot of the Center. The R/P stated that she heard gunshots and observed subjects running through the parking lot. Upon arrival, officers located numerous spent shell casings in the parking lot and two unoccupied vehicles with bullet holes. A witness at the scene, provided officers with the name of an individual that she believes had been shot during the incident. A check of the area hospitals yielded no gunshot victims. A short time later, officers made contact with the alleged victim at his Southfield residence. The victim stated that he was unharmed and left the party when he heard the gunshots. A witness observed several occupied vehicles firing shots into the air as they were exiting the parking lot of location. Arrests by SPD Officers: Fleeing & Eluding/ Retail Fraud- 1- Arrest 11/17/2016 6:31pm 24000 Block of Telegraph Rd. (Commercial Foods) Officers were dispatched to business on a report of a Retail Fraud that just occurred. The R/P stated that the suspects fled the scene in a Dark Colored Chevy Impala. The suspect vehicle was located by Southfield Officers in the area of West Seven Mile & Telegraph. The Officers attempted to stop the vehicle and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit was terminated and the suspect vehicle was located a short time later in the City of Detroit. The vehicle was unoccupied and a K-9 unit was called to the scene to conduct a track. The female passenger suspect was found hiding inside a garage by K-9 and taken into custody for Retail Fraud. A LEIN check revealed that the suspect vehicle was reported stolen in 2015. Special Attention: Shooting 11/19/2016 24000 Block of Twelve Mile Rd. (Commercial Bar) Officers responded to 24000 Block of West Twelve Mile on a report of a shooting inside the Bar. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim inside the bar. The victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The suspect fled the scene prior to the officer s arrival. A Southfield Life Unit transported the victim to Hospital for treatment. A short time later, two additional adult male gunshot victims arrived at Hospital. All three of the victims sustained non-life threating injuries. It appears that the shooting was a result of an altercation that took place inside the bar. Possession of Cocaine- 1- Arrest Telegraph & 9 Mile Rd. Officer observed a vehicle commit Traffic Violation and initiated a stop. Officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle and a narcotics investigation was conducted. A consent search of the vehicle led to the discovery of suspected crack cocaine inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested for Possession of Cocaine and was lodged in the Southfield Jail. Possession Of Methamphetamine- 1- Arrest 11/20/2016 3:28pm 23000 Block of Wrexford Dr. Officer was dispatched to the 23000 Block of Wrexford Dr. on the report of a trouble with subject. The caller says the ex-boyfriend is outside and will not leave. Officers arrived, located subject and during the pat down and consented search of subject they located suspected Methamphetamines in a pill bottle in subjects coat pocket. A Southfield Police Evidence Technician Field Tested the suspected substance. The result was positive for possible presence of Methamphetamines. The subject was arrested for Possession of Methamphetamines.
