Accommodation Options Finding comfortable accommodation, in a convenient location with the right people is important and may take time. Factors such as budget, length of stay and whether you want to live alone or with others will influence your decision. Research all available housing options before you arrive for your internship so you can establish a realistic expectation and budget for accommodation (including the cost of utilities) and living expenses. Questions to ask yourself when choosing accommodation: What is my budget? Do I want to live alone? With other travellers? With a family? How far do I want to live from my internship location? Do I want to prepare my own meals? Or have meals prepared for me? How long do you want to commit to? Do I want to buy my own furniture? HOMESTAY Homestay is a safe and adorable. Typically, you will have your own bedroom and two or three meals with the family per day. Living or boarding in a home with a local family can be a great way to know more about daily Australian life and improve your English skills. STUDENT RESIDENCE These facilities offer fully-furnished, self-contained apartments with an opportunity to live alone or share with others in a student community. Living with in a small community of students and interns provides a ready made support and social network that will help you during your stay for the internship.
