Please Note: Canadians must be in possession of a visa to visit Oman. A visa can be obtained upon arrival at Muscat International Airport. Seek advice from Omani authorities for detailed information on requirements related to each type of visa. Those overstaying the duration of their visa can expect heavy penalties. The approximate cost of the visa is $14 USD, payable in cash. If you prefer to purchase your visa in advance, Collette recommends using CIBT visa service to insure accuracy and timeliness of visa processing The approximate visa cost is $220 CAD (includes CIBT fees as well as consular fees) plus shipping, subject to change. Please contact CIBT or visit their website at www.cibtvisas.ca or check with your consulate for more information. Rates are approximate and can be changed at any time based on governing authority. It is the traveller's responsibility to obtain any required visa and/or documents prior to departure. All document/processing fees are at the expense of the traveller. You are strongly urged to contact the appropriate consulate for details. Oman does not have representation in Canada. Therefore the visa application must be processed in Washington, D.C. Expect a minimum of two additional processing days.
