Eurocopter EC135 Professional Simulation-Based Training Updated 03/13

FlightSafety offers comprehensive professional simulation-based training for the Eurocopter EC135. Our highly qualified and experienced instructors, advanced-technology Level D simulator and integrated training systems help ensure proficiency and safety. Eurocopter EC135 training available at our Learning Center in Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas was designed to meet the professional training needs of all EC135 operators, offering pilots the resources to achieve proficiency and safety. Innovation With One Purpose: Training Corporate Aviation Professionals for Safety and Proficiency FlightSafety International is the world s leading aviation training organization. The leader in experience. Experienced Instructors, Superior Training Technology The leader in technological innovation. The leader in global reach. FlightSafety serves the world s aviation community providing total aviation training for pilots, maintenance technicians and other aviation professionals. We serve business, commercial, general and military aviation with training for virtually all fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters. We live, breathe and ThinkSafety.

Eurocopter EC135 Training Program Highlights Our Level D simulator is scheduled for upgrades to allow night-vision goggle (NVG) training for high-fidelity, low-light training scenarios. ing our high-fidelity graphics package, our simulator features special visual scenes and effects to give EC135 operators the most relevant training available. The simulator offers our exclusive VITAL X visuals, a 60x200-degree field of view, continuous global high-resolution imagery, a full range of environmental conditions and 60-inch electric motion and control loading. Simulation training can incorporate photo-realistic scenes such as urban landscapes, offshore oil rigs, brownout and whiteout conditions. Our mission-specific training tailors instruction to your operation, including offshore, executive transport, emergency medical services and law enforcement. (continued on next page)

Eurocopter EC135 Training Program Highlights (continued from previous page) Our scenario-based EMS lesson plans were developed by experienced EMS pilots. Initial and recurrent training both emphasize skills and strategies essential to surviving inadvertent IMC. Our stand-alone Surviving Inadvertent IMC course gives you the tools you need to react appropriately in the first pivotal moments when you encounter unexpected weather conditions, as well as successful strategies to ensure that flights conform to plan and don t exceed training or equipment. Scenario-based training includes prevention of CFIT accidents, high-density altitude training, realistic VMC to IMC with deteriorating conditions and confined landing sites. FlightSafety helped pioneer FAA Level D full flight simulation for helicopters. We offer factory-authorized worldwide training on the Pratt & Whitney Canada PW206 engine.

The Simulation-Based Training Advantage If you re not taking advantage of FlightSafety s EC135 simulation-based training, or if you re still using your valuable aircraft for training, it s time to reconsider. As airlines and corporate fixed-wing flight departments have known for decades, there simply is no substitute for simulation-based training. And now, taking direct and indirect costs into account, FlightSafety simulation training can save you money compared with in-flight training. No Comparison Compared with simulation-based training, in-aircraft training has few if any advantages and many drawbacks. Exposes you and your crews to unnecessary risk Takes your aircraft out of revenue service Discourages repetition to build proficiency Adds considerable wear and tear to your aircraft Forces pretend scenarios with imagined outcomes Precludes training in adverse weather or other challenging situations A VITAL X view out the cockpit window of a Level D simulator, depicting an emergency response scene on the Las Vegas Strip. (continued on next page)

The Simulation-Based Training Advantage (continued from previous page) The More Effective Alternative FlightSafety simulation-based training overcomes these shortcomings. Vastly more thorough and comprehensive, it allows pilots to review and practice both normal and much more importantly abnormal and emergency procedures. A broad range of scenarios replicate virtually any possible situation, in every conceivable weather and environmental condition. Realistic scenarios force pilots to make split-second decisions, driving home the critical need to understand and follow emergency procedures. It s one thing to know that certain actions take priority during a crisis and quite another to make the right call when the situation is deteriorating by the second. Save Your Aircraft for Paying Customers FlightSafety simulation-based training is the most comprehensive, and the most cost-effective, EC135 training available. e your aircraft to generate revenue. Avoid the risk of training accidents. Take advantage of the superior effectiveness of simulation training.
