Welcome Guide Les Arcs Self Catered LES ARCS 1800 Where to Collect your Keys There are two key agencies handling apartments in Les Arcs 1800 please see your final details email for information on which office is dealing with your booking. Continue along the N90 following the signs for Bourg St Maurice/Haut Tarantaise. Arrive at Bourg Saint Maurice after some 28km (16 miles). After passing the entry sign to Bourg, go through the first set of traffic lights to a roundabout. Take the first exit signed: Office de Tourisme, Gare S.N.C.F. Go straight ahead through second set of traffic lights (by AGIP filling station) and continue downhill. At the next roundabout take the 2nd exit signed: Les Arcs, Tignes, Val d Isere. Go throught the next set of traffic lights after which the Football Stadium is on your right. Continue to roundabout. Take the 1st Exit onto the D119 signed Les Arcs keeping the large InterMarche Supermarket on your left. Continue with SuperU on your left. After some 13km (9miles), at the roundabout take the first exit D120 to Arc 1800. For Village des Villards: Take Car park ticket at barrier and proceed following signs for Les Villards past numerous car parks until you come to a left hand hair pin bend by the Jardin Alpin Chairlift. Continue uphill and bear left past the Maeva Residence and go slightly downhill into the Villards Car Park. TAKE CARE!! The height restriction is 1.8m! Park and find the exit to the lift at the far left hand end of the car park (ignore all other doors). Take the lift to level 1. Exit the lift and then go left through the gap between Pop Corn Location and the Red Hot Saloon to - 1 -
find the Refuge du Jambon in front of you. CIS/AB Serti offices are to your right next to the Sherpa MiniMarket. For Village du Charvet: Take Car park ticket at barrier and proceed following signs for Le Charvet (you will be turning left). After a hairpin right look for sign Arc 1800 Charvet and as the road bends to the left find the Parking Charvet (and sign to Hotel Du Golf) on your right. Enter Car Park and go right. Find Blue door opposite Car Park space 36 and take lift to level 5. Exit Lift and turn left and left again to find Residence: Les Belles Challes in front of you. Go ahead to end of railings (opposite Ski Set), turn right and at the end in front of you find the Office de Tourisme (one floor above Intersport). CIS/AB Serti is next to the Tourist Office. Opening Hours of the Agency The agency is open Sunday to Friday from 09h00 to 12h00 and from 15h00 to 19h00. On Saturdays the opening hours are 09h00 to 19h30. Go ahead and then after first hairpin left look for the large building of the Hotel La Cachette on your right. Park below it and then proceed to the metal stairs to your left by the bus stop. (At night these are lit by fairy lights). Proceed up the stairs, signed Access Station and turn right, Go through double glass doors on your left past the cinemas Salles 1 & 2 and at the end of the corridor turn left into games area. Look for double doors right with sign Access Station leading to carpeted spiral corridor. At top turn right and exit into square through double doors. Go ahead with Tabac on your right to Twinner Hire shop. Just past Twinner bear right and you will find CIS/AB Serti Immobillier on your left just past the Boulangerie. Opening Hours of the Agency The agency is open Sunday to Friday from 09h00 to 12h30 and from 15h00 to 19h00. On Saturdays the opening hours are 09h00 to 12h30 and 13h to 19h30 and on Sundays 9h00 to 12h30. LES ARCS 2000 Where to Collect your Keys - 3
The local agency address is: Opening Hours of the Agency CIS Immobilier Place Olympique 73700 Arcs 2000 Tel: +33 479 04 17 88 and +33 479 07 33 88 The agency is open on Saturdays from 09h00 to 12h30 and from 13h00 to 19h30. It is closed on Sundays and Wednesdays and open other days from 09h00 to 12h30 and 15h00 to 19h00. On Thursdays the hours are 15h00 to 19h00. ALL VILLAGES Arrival Time Keys are available between the hours 17h00 and 19h30 on the day of arrival and must be returned by 10h00 on the day of departure. If you are delayed en-route it is imperative that you contact the agency on the number given above to make alternative arrangements for your keys as their office WILL close at the stated time and we cannot guarantee access to any properties after the closure time of the agency unless this has been agreed in advance. Late Arrival If you arrive after the agency is closed you will need to call them en-route when you have a good estimate of your arrival time. Depending on the situation with arrivals in general, they will inform you of the arrangements for collection of the keys this is sometimes with the use of a post box outside their office with an access code, where an envelope will be left with your keys or keys may be left at a bar or other local establishment. Generally these arrangements involve taking your credit card details for the deposit and the tourist tax over the phone before keys are issued therefore please make sure you have this information handy when you contact them. If keys were left for you without making payment of the deposit and tourist tax over the phone, you must return to the office on SUNDAY MORNING (or Monday according to the agency s opening hours) before you ski to collect the 2nd key and pay the deposit and tourist tax. Deposits Deposits vary according to the size of the apartment but start at 305 - the amount for the apartment you have rented will be shown on your voucher. You can pay using credit cards or cheques drawn in euros sterling cheques are not accepted. Shortly after your departure, the apartment will be checked by the agency or by our staff and if it is considered that deductions are necessary from your deposit the WHOLE authorised deposited amount will be debited to your card. - 4
The agency/we will arrange for the necessary corrections to be made (repairs, replacements or cleaning as appropriate) and you will be sent an invoice for the actual cost of this work. The balance between the total deposit amount and the actual cost of the work will be refunded to your card at the time the invoice is issued. Please note that your liability is not restricted to the level of the deposit and in the case of significant damage to the apartment we reserve the right to deduct the actual cost of the repair/replacement from your card, upon production of proof of costs incurred by us. If no deductions are necessary, your credit card slip will be destroyed and no charges will be made. Tourist Tax All visitors to France are required to pay a tourist tax (taxe de séjour) for all adults over 18 years old. In Les Arcs, the amount is normally 0.80 per person per night but may be higher for the luxury properties. You will need to settle this with the agency on arrival before keys will be issued. Inventory and Condition of the Apartment On arrival, it is YOUR responsibility to check the apartment against the inventory and to report any differences, damages or faults to the agency within 24 hours. The apartment is deemed to be in good order on arrival and failure to report any faults as above will result in damages or losses being deducted from YOUR deposit. Pre-Booked Resort Services If you have pre-booked ski passes with us, on arrival at the agency to collect your keys you will be given an envelope containing all the necessary vouchers and ski passes for your holiday. If you have only booked ski hire or ski schools (no ski passes), the necessary vouchers will be attached to your final details email instead please ensure you print them and bring them with you. In case of any queries regarding these services then please contact us directly on +33 479 55 52 57 as the local agency is only responsible for the apartment and not for any other services provided. The opening hours of our resort office are: Saturday from 09h00 to 21h00 Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 09h00 to 18h00 Tuesday from 11:00 to 15:00 These are local times Departure On your departure day, you must ensure you have returned the keys to the resort agency by the time stated. If you have not paid for a final cleaning service, then you must leave the apartment in the same way as you found it, removing all linen from the beds. If you HAVE paid for a final cleaning service, then the cleaning service will come in after you but you must still remove all rubbish from the apartment and ensure all dishes have been cleaned and put away as this is not included in the service you have paid for. Complaints, Problems, Questions In the first instance, you should contact the local agency if there are any problems with the apartment and they should be able to resolve it. If you have any other queries or problems during your stay or you are not satisfied with the service of the local agency, then you can - 5
