Each stake should provide adult leaders to supervise waterfront activities. (Recommended: one leader per eight to ten girls.) Young women may participate in waterfront activities only when an adult leader from their stake is in the dock area. An adult stake leader should be present while girls are participating in waterfront activities. She will work with the lifeguard to maintain safety and adherence to the rules. The lifeguard gives lake instruction and canoe safety to each group. The lifeguard will determine whether weather conditions are unsafe for canoeing. No one is permitted on the dock, or in the dock area, when waterfront is closed. No swimming, wading or swamping of canoes is permitted. Wearing life jackets is mandatory. Wood Piles Wood is to be unloaded in designated woodpile areas within each camp. No wood pallets, wafer board, pressed board, or other junk wood is to be brought to camp.
