DINNER SUGGESTION: TRADITIONAL ALPINE INN LECTAR RESTAURANT LECTAR The restaurant Lectar is located in the Upper Carniola region, in the very heart of city of Radovljica, only 5 minutes away from Bled lake. Restaurant has centuries long tradition and counts among most picturesque inns in Slovenia. Restaurant is known also because of Lectar s hart museum. Producing this kind of pastry is an old and renowned traditional handicraft of Slovenia. The decorated pastry is made from honey dough and shaped either with a wooden or a tin mould, or by hand. The oldest preserved wooden mould, made for a customer who was a nobleman, dates to the 16th century. In those times, these products were highly regarded as meaningful tokens of love. Today, honey bread products are precious souvenirs from our country. They also make lovely promotional items or business gifts.
