SUMMER NUTRITION RESOURCES JULY 2016 The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) provides free meals for children when school is not in session during the summer. Who qualifies? Any child or teenager under the age of 18 can go to a SFSP site. What should kids bring to sign up? Nothing. Any child or teenager under age 18 is welcome. There are no eligibility requirements. Where are the meal sites? There are over 80 sites located throughout Rhode Island. This guide includes a list of sites. You can also call 2-1-1 to find a meal site near you, or visit www.fns.usda.gov/summerfoodrocks. When are sites open? Nearly all sites serve meals Monday through Friday and quite a few serve weekend meals as well. Please review the list of sites for meal times. You can also call 2-1-1 to learn when lunch (or breakfast or dinner!) is served. Is this really free? Sure is! Free summer meals for all children and teens under 18.
