NIMZ VASANTHANARASAPURA, TUMAKURU It is proposed to develop a NIMZ at Vasanthanarasapura in Tumakuru District because of it s proximity to Bangalore. In-Principle approval was obtained for an area of 5508.58 Hectares which included the 1390 Hectares of existing Phase I, II and III at Vasanthanarasapura Industrial Area. Estimated total investment by manufacturing industry USD 6.28 billion Direct employment generation 69, 406 Indirect employment generation 1.04 lakhs Contribution to State GDP by 2025 6.15%

GREENFIELD AND BROWNFIELD DEVELOPMENTS ARE BEING INTEGRATED THROUGH COMPREHENSIVE NODE MASTERPLAN Direct connectivity between existing industrial area and newly development area is enhanced by interchange Vasantha Narsapura Industrial Area (Brown field) Tumakuru Node (Green field) Phase Node Area Acquisition Status Phase 1 to 3 3,666 acres Phase 4 1,722 acres Phase 5 & 6 7,905 acres Acquired and allotment is in progress - Brownfield Development Final Notification issued and final compensation needs to be disbursed. (expected to take approx. 3-6 months) Acquisition process started and joint measurement is on progress. Notification under Section 23(4) would be sent to Government for approval (~1 year) (9,627 acres greenfield development) Total 13,293 acres

AIRPORT CONNECTIVITY International flights operate from the airports at Bengaluru and Mangalore Bangalore Airport clocks in 15 million passengers in 2014-15. Now, South India s busiest and India s third largest airport. The state has five domestic airports at Bengaluru, Mangalore, Hubli, Mysore and Belgaum The existing airport at Hubli is being upgraded to international standards.

RAILWAYS Karnataka is wellconnected to other parts of the country via the railways. The state has a railway network of 3,250 Km.

ROADS The State is well connected to its five neighbouring states and other parts of India via 15 national highways that run through the state

SEAPORTS There are 11 ports in Karnataka, of which New Mangalore is a major port New Mangalore Port is the 9th major port in India with the deepest inner harbour on the west coast Major cargo have been handled by Karwar, Belikeri, Malpe and old Mangalore ports in 2010-11. PRIVATE SECTOR PARTICIPATION IN NODE DEVELOPMENT Private Sector participation in the node development could ensure high quality node infrastructure development along with efficient implementation of the project GoK is keen to invite international firms to become part of industrial corridor nodes in a public-private participation mode to help deliver world class industrial nodes and industrial parks GoK will explore keen to explore collaboration with Government of Japan and associated agencies in Node Development Private Sector Stakeholders to provide technical support for nodes and attract other investors

ANCHOR TENANTS GoK is keen to participate with investors to become anchor tenants in the upcoming industrial nodes Anchor Tenants would become key stakeholders in development of industrial nodes GoK will provide all the support and incentives packages as per State Industrial Policy 2014-2015 GoK has long and successful history of collaborating with OEMs and other manufacturing companies to become anchor tenants in development of industrial areas - e.g. Bosch, Toyota, Volvo, TELCO, Honda etc.
