WASH & NUTRITION FORU Dates The WASH & NUTRITION FORU will be held in Paris on 27th to 29th of November 207. The third day (29th) is dedicate to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and the national Societies, in the form of a workshop. Venues The Forum will be held at the French Red Cross Headquarter in central Paris. The French Red Cross headquarter is located in a building that used to belong to the Broussais hospital in the 4th district of Paris, one of the 20 districts that divide Paris. If you re travelling from the Charles de Gaulle (CDG) airport, you ll pay 55 for a trip heading anywhere on the Left Bank* and 50 for anywhere on the Right Bank**. Paris taxi drivers are able to charge for supplementary passengers once the number goes above four, which means a cost of 4 per extra passenger. Air France coach - bus Air France Bus is a good option. The service is not door to door and you have to take a taxi or the subway to join your hotel s address or FRC s office. The Air France buses services are dedicated to ALL passengers. Buses leave every 2 minutes from all terminals at Charles de Gaulle CDG airport or Orly to downtown Paris. Ligne 4 : CDG AIRPORT <=> PARIS GARE ONTPARNASSE via Gare de Lyon Tram: Didot (line ) Bus: Hôpital Broussais - Saint Joseph (line ) Buy tickets at Air France coaches counters or from driver. 7 SINGLE TICKET Rail The quickest & least expensive way from Roissy-Charles de Gaulle (CDG) Airport to Paris is by taking the RER B city train leaving from either CDG Terminal 2 or Roissypole (RER trains for CDG Terminal and CDG Terminal 3). ake sure you take the RER B line heading in the direction of Robinson, Antony or St- Rémy-les-Chevreuse and the train will stop in central Paris stations such as Gare du Nord. The RER B train line runs north-south through the centre of Paris, stopping at: - Gare du Nord, (the London to Paris Eurostar station), - then at Châtelet Les Halles the super exchange station with 4 metro lines and 3 RER lines available, - then Saint ichel - Notre-Dame, - Luxembourg, - Port Royal, - Denfert-Rochereau, - Cité Universitaire, where you can connect with Tramway Line - and continues south towards Orly Airport (requiring a transfer onto the OrlyVal metro at station Antony). * Called La Rive Gauche in French. ** Called La Rive Droite in French.
You can buy train tickets from one of the blue ticket machines (not the yellow machines, which sell TGV (High Speed Train) tickets only) or from a train station employee in a booth. RER tickets and passes. Purchasing a single one way ticket to Orly airport from any central Paris station (RER B + Orlyval) will be 2.05. Tickets cost 0 one-way and the journey takes up to 50 minutes. Trains run from Charles de Gaulle Airport to Paris between 04:50 and 23:50 onday to Sunday. Trains run from Paris to Charles de Gaulle Airport between 04:53 and 00:5 onday to Sunday. PUBLIC TRANSPORTS IN PARIS Do you want to make a single, one-way trip using any of the metro lines, the RER in Paris, the Île-de-France region s bus lines (with the exception of Orlybus and Roissybus), the tramways, or the ontmartre funicular? The t+ ticket allows you to travel using the metro, the RER in zone, the Île-de-France region s bus lines (except Orlybus and Roissybus), the tramways, and the ontmartre funicular. Rail and Orlyval trains Getting to Orly Airport (ORY) from Paris using the Orlyval train requires that you first get to Antony station along the RER B train line, then transferring to this dedicated rail line to Orly West (Ouest) and Orly South (Sud) terminals. Common starting stations for this trip would include Gare du Nord, Chatelet Les Halles, St-ichel Notre Dame, Luxembourg, and Denfert-Rochereau, all located in central Paris and all very accessible by multiple etro, RER and bus lines. Note that the RER B line (blue line on maps) stops at all of these stations along its route southbound towards Antony. The Orlyval train is ticketed specially requiring an additional fee on top of normal etro/

Tea/coffee and light snacks will be provided in the meeting room. VIGIPIRATE: SECURITY RULES As you know, France is facing the risk of terrorist attacks. Installed by the Paris city council to increase security against terrorism, the Vigipirate plan requires the participation of all citizens, in particular to report any abandoned luggage or package. Unidentified packages may be destroyed by the police. When the Vigipirate plan is announced, public litter containers are sealed, left-luggage services in stations and airports are unavailable, checks at the entrance of public buildings and tourist sites are reinforced, and cloakrooms and lockers in museums and monuments may be closed.
