Bellefonte Victorian Christmas 2011 Schedule of Events The 30th Annual Bellefonte Victorian Christmas will be held on, Friday evening, December 9th, Saturday, December 10th, and Sunday, December 11 th,2011. You are invited to gather at the Bellefonte Elementary School to be greeted on the front steps by Mr. Dickens and candlelight carolers Friday, December 9th at 6:30 PM. Opening Ceremony will be held at the Bellefonte Elementary School Auditorium featuring the Bellefonte Community Band, the Nittany Knights, the Bellefonte Elementary School 4 th & 5 th grade Choir, Middle School Women s Chorale, St. John s Elementary School Choir, and some other special performances, including a preview performance of It s A Dickens Holiday Show! A Cookie and Hot Chocolate reception provided by the Bellefonte Moose Lodge #206 in the hallway beside the auditorium will be held immediately following Opening Ceremony. A Gaslight Gala with Charles Dickens Kick off the event weekend with a posh themed evening of exquisite comestibles, elegant service, top-notch entertainment, and top of the shelf libations. Professional singers, actors, and musicians present Victorian traditions like the Yule Log Ceremony, the Cheese Contest, cameo solos and Dickens ever popular staging A Christmas Carol Victorian Costumes encouraged but not required. Bellefonte Victorian Christmas Ornament for 2011 A Limited Addition Christmas Ornament is available for sale this year featuring a photo by Mark Houser, each ornament is initialed by the photographer. The Days of Victorian Christmas Game Offered by: The Bellefonte Downtown Merchants and Restaurants Saturday and Sunday Visit the Bellefonte shops and restaurants to pick up your game piece and instructions to participate. Take completed game piece to the Museum for Centre County, at 133 N. Allegheny St. to enter a drawing for a Bellefonte Basket containing merchandise from participating merchants, restaurants, and the Bellefonte Victorian Christmas committee.
