Day 1: (Jan 28) Home -Lima After arrive at Lima airport, reception at Lima airport and transfer to the hotel, the leisure day will under own arrangement. **Over night at Lima local hotel** Day 2: (Jan 29) Lima Cuzco After breakfast, start city tour in Lima. Visit the main square, stand in the middle of this spacious and handsome square, by the 17th-centruy bronze fountain, and you are at the historic heart of the city. On the north side is the Government Palace, which was completed in 1938, and suffers from the past of Peru's dictators of the time for grandiose French baroque. The eastern side of the square is dominated by the cathedral, which was reconstructed many times due to earthquakes. Visit the Gold Museum, which provides an incredible look at the wealth that attracted Spanish conquerors. After the tour, transfer to airport to take the flight to Cuzco; upon arrival, you will be transferred to the Sacred Valley. **Over night at Sacred Valley local hotel** Day 3: (Jan 30) Machu Picchu Machu Picchu is a wonderful stone city constructed with a technique very advanced for its era and even for present times: stone upon stone, fitted together perfectly without any cement, with impressive delicacy, exquisite detail and discrimination worthy of the world s greatest palaces. After breakfast, transfer to the railway station to take the local train to the Lost City of the Incas ; walking through the almost perfectly preserved buildings, lacking only their original thatch roofs and show the passageways carved out of the cold rock underlying the city 7,000 feet above sea level and nestled on a small hilltop between the Andean Mountain Range, the majestic city soars above the Urabamba Valley below. The Incan built structure has been deemed the Lost Cities, unknown until its relatively recent discovery in 1911. Archaeologists estimate that approximately 1200 people could have lived in the area, though many theorize it was most likely a retreat for Incan rulers. Due to it s isolation from the rest of Peru, living in the area full time would require traveling great distances just to reach the nearest village. Transfer back to Sacred Valley after the tour. **Over night at Sacred Valley local hotel** Day 4: (Jan 31) Sacred Valley- Cuzco After breakfast, visit to the Pisac Village, in the town of Pisac in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, Pisac is a good place to buy the local ceramics including a huge and varied collection of hand-painted multi-colored beads. Continue to Ollantaytambo, Ollantaytambo is a natural scenario located in the Sacred Valley of the Incas and located at 21km from urubamba town. The town has been built on top of original Inca foundations and is the best surviving example of Inca town planning. The town is divided in canchas (blocks) which are almost entirely intact. One of its best preserved areas, known as Hanan huacaypata, lies on the north of the main square and contains 15 statues built with elegantly crafted stone walls. Transfer to Cuzco after the tour. Optional: Dinner and Show at Peru traditional style Restaurant USD70/pp (Minimum 20 participants are required) **Over night at Cuzco local hotel** Day 5: (Feb 01) Cuzco Lima After breakfast, visits to the Koricancha or Temple of the Sun which was the most important temple in the whole Inca territory, the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Cathedral on the main square and the ancient streets of Cuzco with their beautiful stone walls. Outside the city center, driven to see remaining portions of the ancient structures, including the famous Fortress of Sacsayhuaman, built with enormous blocks of granite, Qenko, a gigantic rock with ceremonial steps, Puca-Pucara and Tampu Machay, offering marvelous view of the surrounding area.
