SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT SOCIAL A sustainable activity or project recognizes the inextricable nature of environmental, social and economic development activities. The OHV is a growing industry that contributes significantly to the economy in regions throughout the United Sates. The development of this activity goes through the structuration of the trail networks and the development of partnerships with communities and all stakeholders in the industry. This means integrating economically viable trails that will contribute to the development of communities, help protect the environment and highlight natural heritages. ENVIRONNEMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY ECONOMIC

DEVELOPMENT OF A GLOBAL NETWORK UNIFORMITY OF SERVICES, ACCESSIBILITY AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE ACTIVITY Visualize a completely organized and unified network. Provide the local network the visibility of a nationwide system. It is necessary to turn a multitude of disparate services, represented by isolated and scattered network pieces, into a global service with many options where everyone will find what he is looking for. Improving the network visibility means improving its accessibility through the understanding of How it works. The location of trails, park, parking areas, services, etc., will help improve the user experience. The image of a combined activity clearly defined under a recognizable banner, the NOHVCC, will advertise an image of cohesion and security.

IMAGE AND EXPOSURE CREATING A POSITIVE FUTURE FOR OHV RECREATION Promote the positive social and economical impact of the activity on the community. Reveal the significant investments in infrastructures designed to protect the environment. Describe the hard work of passionate volunteers maintaining and enhancing a leading economic activity that benefits the entire community. Demonstrate the efforts made to reduce acts of vandalism on the environment. There are many benefits to introduce this activity to the general public and to our key partners, such as government agencies. Visibility and recognition will encourage volunteers and partners and help fight prejudice and less positive aspects that may circulate. Image and exposure is a key in developing and interconnecting the activity with other tourism services.

ECONOMIC SITUATION AND CLUBS VIABILITY The industry of OHV and its activities generate major economic benefits worth billions all across the country. Even if this is a huge industry, it still stands on fragile grounds since it is only maintained by organizations thanks the passionate work of thousands of enthusiasts. These organizations are often victims of underfunding year after year. This economic situation paralyzes the development of the activity, reducing the number of interconnection projects between networks by limiting the number of proper road signs and the quality of the infrastructures. Consequently, communities do not profit from these economic benefits which could become a driving development potential. The viability of the clubs must be ensured, it is the future of this business.

TOURISM DEVELOPMENT This structures information on trails, lists local and regional attractions, promotes local, regional and national economic benefits and develops a national exposure for local communities. These actions are the foundation for the development of a structured tourism product. The development of the industry requires the implementation of safe and attractive trails to discover. Maximize the benefits of the economic development for the community while respecting the values of the environment and the culture of communities. A guaranteed success. To increase economic benefits sustainably, while respecting local values and attractions : Generate enthusiasm for the activity Organize the practice Highlight communities and tourism development
