Camp Card Captain Description (per unit) Swing for the Fence. Send a Scout to Camp! 1. Be the face of the Unit Camp Card Program. 2. Give leadership to the Camp Card Program. 3. Understand all aspects of the Camp Card Program. 4. Ensure your unit is signed-up for the Camp Card Program by 2/20/2013. 5. Attend the Captains Orientation on 2/20/2013. 6. Set a challenging program goal that pays for their program needs and gets Scouts to camp. 7. Understand and communicate the impact each unit s participation has on Scouting at all levels a. Youth/Parent level b. Unit level c. Council level 8. Enthusiastically promote the program to both youth and parents. 9. Setting up the unit s specific dates with a unit kickoff (ideally to be held by 03/15/2013). 10. During the sale (03/15/2013 05/12/2013) stay in touch with your unit to monitor their progress and offer any assistance needed. Additional cards are available from the council office. 11. Give leadership to reconciling the unit s accounts by 05/31/2013. a. Collecting all money for sold cards and unsold cards not collected. b. Collecting all unsold cards. c. Reconciling check out receipts. d. Completing tracking forms. e. Ensuring everything is turned in on time to Cradle of Liberty Council. f. Unit commission reduced to 40% on 6/1/2013. g. Unit commission reduced to 30% after 6/15/2013.
