Washington Dulles Airport Passenger Activity commercial passenger activity decreased.3% from September 216. Significant activity by carrier is as follows: Airline Comments United 1.2% decrease primarily due to weather disruptions and reduced service Reduced service to 39 destinations including: Atlanta, Los Angeles, Raleigh/Durham, San Francisco, and Tampa Increased capacity to 22 destinations including: Newark, New York La Guardia, and Norfolk Frontier 119.5% increase primarily as a result of new service New service to Austin in April 217 as well as Colorado Springs and Las Vegas in July 217 Southwest 14.9% increase primarily due to new service and increased capacity New service to Orlando in November 216 and Fort Lauderdale in June 217 Increased capacity to Atlanta and Denver in March 217 Discontinued service to Las Vegas in January 217 Delta 5.6% increase primarily due to new service to Salt Lake City in April 217 as well as increased capacity Increased capacity to Atlanta and Detroit in September 217 JetBlue 13.5% decrease due to reduced service Reduced service to Boston and New York JFK in September 217 Passenger Activity commercial passenger traffic decreased.3% compared to September 216. Significant activity by carrier is as follows: Airline Comments United 7.1% decrease in passenger activity primarily due to lower load factors Air France 22.% increase due to aircraft up-gauge Icelandair 34.8% increase because of increased service to Reykjavik in June 217 Air China 68.7% increase due to increased service to Beijing in May 217 Ethiopian 31.9% increase as a result of improved load factors Royal Air Maroc New service began in September 216 Air India New service began in July 217 United Airlines, including its regional affiliates, had the largest commercial passenger market share of 61.5%, a slight decrease from 62.9% in September 216 Cargo Activity (all numbers in metric tonnes) Total cargo increased 8.1% or 1,914 from a year earlier to 25.6k cargo decreased 4.5% (413) primarily due to a decrease by FedEx (4.8%, or 283) cargo increased 16.% or 2,326 primarily due to increases by United (21.5%, or 1,9), Air China (9.5%, or 345), Lufthansa (21.%, or 313), British (26.4% or 185) and Emirates (39.3%, or 16). Baltimore-Washington Airport Commercial passenger activity declined.5% (11k passengers) to 2. million passengers Southwest declined 1.5% (2k passengers), American declined 14.6% (22k passengers), and JetBlue declined 18.5% (9k passengers). Spirit increased 3.8% (38k passengers) to offset the declines. activity declined 8.2% (6k passengers) Cargo increased 61.7% primarily due to new carrier LGSTX which added 5,693 metric tonnes. FedEx decreased 3.4% (195 metric tonnes). 3
