NEWS HIGH ABSORPTION INFLATING MATTRESS Air mattress is designed to increase the level of security in the areas of arrival of skiing competitions and along ski slopes, in potential points of fall, in order to protect skiers from any obstacles. The LOW PRESSURE air (0.30 bar) contained in the mattress guarantees full absorption of the skier s kinetik energy at the time of impact, REDUCING THE RISK OF REBOUND.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AIR MATTRESS The air mattress is composed of several VERTICAL cylindrical chambers in PVC of various sizes, inside which air is blown. This ensures higher stability than horizontal chambers. More specifically there are 2 external side walls, formed by vertical Cylinders Inflated With Air. In the center, between 2 walls, there are Cylinders Of Foam rubber acting as spacers. This solution combines the advantages of Air (low impact deceleration) and Foam (high Energy absorption). The various modules are connected with hydraulic hoses that allow the passage of air at the time of inflation. The mattress can be easily anchored to the ground with poles in fiberglass or polycarbonate.
On the air mattress, a pvc coverage, hooked with rubber bands with ball can be applied. Flat foam mattresses can be placed in front to protect air mattress from skis cutting edges. The mattress has pressure control valves that can switch-on the online air pump to keep the air mattress pressure constant.

EXPERIMENTAL TEST ON AIR MATTRESS All materials of VS COMPANY, as well as being testes multiple times in the design and development, were further verified by tools and equipment capable of recreating and providing realistic feedback on situation present both in tourist ski track both in ski racing track.
IMPACT SIMULATION For these impact test we install a test field with a tower hight about 20 mt, where a dummy, made on a human scale for high and weight, is lifted and then launched. The dummy is like a skier sand against protection structure. During the simulation it is launched from a height suitable to capture the speed of a real impact on a possible obstacle. It reaches a speed of 80 km/h.
TEST FIELD For impact test we install a test field with matresses or protection nets and poles. In this photo we can see the structure: air matress anchored to the ground with polycarbonate poles. The poles are inserted into muffes planted in the ground.
