VARAZZE «ALBA TOUR» DAY #1 GENOA VARAZZE (18 MILES - 1H20 )* DAY #2 VARAZZE «ALBA TOUR» Our team will meet you at Genoa International Airport or at your hotel and take care of your transfer to the marina. Your yacht is ready for departure. After a welcome cocktail with an introduction to the Ligurian flavors, set out for the Alba region and the famous white truffle. On the way to Varazze, make the most of your yacht amenities before arriving to the marina, one of the most modern and exclusive in Liguria. After a nice breakfast, our driver will pick you up and drive you across the mountains towards the city of Alba. In Alba, live a unique and authentic experience. Take part of the «truffle hunting» guided by an Italian expert and his trained dog. Depending of the season, you ll look for black or white truffles. Your guide will share with you his knowledge about the biodiversity which stimulates the growth of this rare and expensive mushroom. Have a break during a «special lunch». This old fisherman village offers a unique atmosphere; well known for the colorfully painted building that line the shore. For this special day, you will learn and practice the Ligurian cuisine. Pesto al Genovese, Italian bread or fresh pasta; make the most of this unique experience; cook with a personal renowned chef onboard a private luxury yacht. PORTO VENERE DAY# 5 SANTA MARGHERITA PORTO VENERE (36 MILES-2H45)* DAY #6 PORTO VENERE FORTE DEI MARMI (18 MILES-1H20 )* The medieval fishing village of Portovenere was built over 1,000 years ago. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The local cuisine is mainly composed of fresh seafood (lobster & shrimp), the famous pesto al genovese and the delicious Italian prosciutto. You may visit the «Castello Doria» the oldest surviving fortification in the Cinque Terre, which commands superb views. The seaside Tuscan town of Forte dei Marmi dates back to land expansion in the 16th century. This charming city is a great combination for those who want to spend some time sunning on the beach and enjoying Italy s rich heritage and culture. The Chianti region offers a large choice of wines, well appreciated by experts; you may also taste the famous «Osso bucco», Tuscan speciality.
LA SPEZIA & PARMA DAY #7 LA SPEZIA PARMA You have probably heard about the «Parmigiano Reggiano» before, one of the most famous Italian cheese. You will visit a handcraft factory and learn about the fabrication process. Also planned, a degustation and a lunch will be offered after your visit. A great opportunity to taste some of the best PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) products. Reggio Emilia is well known for the Balsamic Vinegar, often use in the Italian cuisine. Inside a gorgeous property, visit the splendid domain surrounded by grapevines and oak trees. DAY #8 CINQUE TERRE GENOA (50 MILES-3H50 )* On the way back to Genoa, pay attention to the beauty of the Ligurian coastline.
