A long time ago there was a family of pigs: There was big, fat Papa Pig. There was big, fat Mama Pig There were three Little Pigs. They were brothers. One day Papa Pig and Mama Pig said to the three Little Pigs, The house is getting too small. You must go away and find a house of your own. The three Little Pigs were very sad. They said goodbye to Papa Pig and to Mama Pig and went away. - 2 -

He climbed up on the roof and down the chimney. But the clever little pig had put boiling water on the stove. The wolf fell into the hot water and was killed. All the animals in the wood came. They danced round the house of bricks and shouted, The wolf is dead, hurrah, hurrah! The big, bad wolf is dead, hurrah, hurrah! - 3 - - 12 -

After some time the three Little Pigs met a man who was carrying straw. The first Little Pig had an idea: I will build my house from straw. He asked the man for some straw, built himself a nice little house and said goodbye to his two brothers. After some time the two brothers met a man who was carrying sticks. The second Little Pig had an idea: I will build my house from sticks. He asked the man for some sticks, built himself a nice little house and said goodbye to his brother. - 11 - - 4 -

The wolf was still hungry and soon came to the house of sticks. Mm, I smell a pig inside, he thought and said, Little pig, little pig, let me come in. Oh no, I won let you come in, said the second Little Pig. You will eat me! So the wolf blew the house of sticks down and ate the little pig with one big bite. He was still hungry and soon he came to the house of bricks. Mm, I smell a pig inside, he thought and said, Little pig, little pig, let me come in. Oh no, I won let you come in, said the third Little Pig. You will eat me! The wolf started to blow and blow, but he could not blow the house down. - 5 - - 10 -
